You can program a different frequency on every channel, then press scan to auto scan every channel, press the ./ delay button so the unit will delay on the channel momentarily, then continue to scan when the transmission is over.
The s1 and s2 buttons are used to scan the frequency band. For example: i want to scan the band from 45.000-49.000. I press search program, enter the frequency, press enter, while s1 led is flashing, press 1, then enter the ending frequency, press enter, with led flashing, press 2, then press search scan. The unit will now scan every frequency between the two frequencies.

Scanner stuck on one channel and won't allow me to enter new freq

Push the "L/O" lockout button and it will lockout that channel.
When you press "Scan" you have to have at least one of the banks scanning, so press 1, 2, 3,....9, 0 whatever bank you have channels programmed in order to automatically scan. You should be able to press "Manual" to see each channel individually.

Regency R1077 base scanner can not delete old frequencies to reprogram scanner

Press "Manual", then press digit key ("0/10" thru "9") that corresponds with the channel to be changed ("0/10" = ch10). Next, press the digit and decimal point keys to enter the frequency in megahertz (Mhz) to be stored in the channel. To store 453.100 Mhz in channel 2, you would press "Manual", then "2". Press the following keys in order: "4" "5" "3" "." "1" "0" "0", followed by pressing the "Enter" key. Repeat this process for up to 10 channels. If you wish to clear unused channels, you should be able to select the channel, then enter "." followed by the "Enter" key.

This scanner will only accept frequencies between 30.000Mhz and 599.999 Mhz. Attempting to input frequencies outside this range will result in an error message.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thanks.

Trying to program it

First you'll need a list of frequencies to program. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

Once you have your freq list, power the scanner ON,and:

1. Press PGM. Then enter the channel number (1-200) where you want to store a frequency, then press PGM again.
2. Use the keys to enter the frequency (including the decimal point) you want to store.
3. Press ENT to store the frequency into the channel. Press DELAY if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds on this channel before it proceeds to the next channel after a transmission ends.
4. To program the next channel in sequence, press PGM and
repeat Steps 2 and 3.

Operation
• To listen to a weak or distant station, turn SQUELCH counterclockwise. If reception is poor, turn SQUELCH clockwise to cut out weak transmissions.
• If SQUELCH is adjusted so you always hear a hissing sound, the scanner will not scan or search properly.

Programming

Most Regency Scanners have the same basic programming setup.

Try the following.

Press "Manual"
One of the channels will show up in the display, probably channel 1.

Enter the frequency you want to enter, example 162.550

Press "Enter"

The channel number will flash,

Enter the channel number you want to put that frequency in, example to put that frequency into channel 4 enter the number 4.

Note that on some models for channels 1-9 you must enter the channel as a 2 digit number so enter 04 for channel 4.

You can repeat this process to enter all the frequecy's you want and just change the channel number.
