I purchased a TV from Sharp late June 2008. A few months ago a black line appeared. It looks like a pen line and goes laterally from one end of the screen to the other.
No action may be needed. I had similar problem and it goes away after a few days. It does come back later. I learned you can try to put pressure on the LCD frame right on top or bottom of where the black line is. This is where the "pixel control board" is. It can make the line goes way or coming back.No action may be needed. I had similar problem and it goes away after a few days. It does come back later. Sound like ur Tuner board have intermitint problems,it work awhile, than the old problems occur again.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.Because this problems come and goes.
My mother's was doing the same thing (purchased 2008). Put up with it about 6 months and took it to a repair shop. Bottom line - the display panel has a flaw in and will cost more to replace than the tv cost. See about it now it yours is still under warranty.
yes and no. That particular tv you have is done for, but if you just purchased it 6 months ago, you are still within you 1 year warranty with sharp. they will ask you to take it to a authorized service center and you need to follow through with the process. about a week or 2 will pass and the service center will deem the unit unrepairable and sharp will replace it if they cant solve the problem. give em call..good luck 2u
