My bev air bm23 kegerator wont cool. the fan works like it is suppose to inside 24/7. The fan outside works as well. There is a hhhmmm sound and then a click. It thought it was the compressor so i took the back apart and found the clicking coming from RELAY (TI) (9660-071-161). I have no idea what that does. Could it be that easy all i have to do is replace the relay. Help please!!!!!!

either a problem with the thermostat or the probe for it has been dislodged and getting a false temp reading

which fan , inside or out.. if outside condensor fan is running then it has a bad 175 capacitor or if the compressor is running then it is low on refrigerant. if the cond fan is not running then check thermostat.. you can do this by connecting the two wires together.. another way to check the compressor, cond fan is to reach under and unplug the wires going to comptessor and plug into a 12ga extention cord.

yes sounds like a bad defrost terminator or timer?
not allowing it to go into defrost so compressor runs all the time and it frreezes up

!st off, do you mean the indoor unit does nothing period as wont run? or wont cool?if it wont run, the checking breakers/fuses etc is a waste of time, as the transformers clearly providing the 24 volts to operate the contactor outside.If you switch your fan to "on" does the fan run?if not, check fan relay, or board or motor/cap etc.If the fan does run with the fan switch set to on, but not in cool mode, the auto function that sends power to green /fan via yellow?cool terminal in the tstat is open and not allowing the 24v to energize the fan relay.

I would definately start there. That is what contols the cycling of the compressor.

Compressor is stuck only way to fix is to replace compressor.

Most evaporator fans run all the time. This is mainly to use the air flow to assist in melting off any frost build up during the compressor off cycle. If that fan shut off with the compressor the coil will have a tendency to freeze up. :)

electrician do one thing, electricity. If the unit cools, the compressor is running. a power outage should not put the compressor in a "Weaken" state. I would check the starting components. don't overlook your surge protector causing a voltage drop. try running the unit without the protector.
