You can't if it's broken it's lost unless you go to a private eye and they go into the internalhard drive and i think they are the only one's well and the via and fbi can as well but me or you can't

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
If you got your info in SIM card it easy to so so, by putting in some other phone and copy your Contacts or Messages.
And if your Data is in Phone memory, try to connect it with cable to your PC, it may be helpful by syncing the data to PC.
And if you still need to press some keys in doing so, and your Info is crucial enough that you can spend some money then you can contact the vendors about this issue, they can retrieve the data by connecting the memory chip through EP-ROM reader which isn't available for End-User.
I hope you have a clear picture now.

In case the phone is totally dead then there is no way to retrieve all the information from the phone, but i that is the model with mmc or you had it automatically saved to your sim then that is the only way to retrieve the infos.But if you are still able to turn it on and off then possibly the usb tool will help.

MotoKrzr K1m keeps freezing
you can reformat the memory card from the phone.
It will erase all content on the card and should help. Be sure to back up any important info from the memory card before reformat. All lst data cannot be retrieved.
