During the spin cycle, machine started making terrible clanking noise. Took apart machine, my guess is that it is the drum bearings. Is this a costly repair? Machine is 6 1/2 years old

The machine makes a loud noise during the spin cycle. The whole drum shakes violently and clonks. I took the back off, removed the belt, and found the pully to be super tight. So, it doesn't seem, like there is anything wrong with the bearings. What else could it be?The machine makes a loud noise during the spin cycle. The whole drum shakes violently and clonks. a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old
If the machaine is kenmore or whirlpool you are going to need a clucth assembly#285785and possible basket drive 285792 this would come with clutch i would have to know more
If it is a front loader, then remove the rear panel, remove the belt, and soin drum by hand, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair.
Need to know a little more info. Need to know if this noise starts when you first turn it on (during the fill up cycle), once the actual washer starts (wash cycle) or when it goes into spin cycle.
