DISH Network IR Remote Control Logo

In single mode, my remote for TV1 works, but in dual mode, only my remote for TV2 work. In single mode, both remotes can change channels, record, etc. In dual the Remote for TV2 turns on the blue light and manipulates TV2 programming. In dual mode, the Remote for TV1 does turn on the green light, but there is no video control available. Everything used to work just fine in dual mode. The remote for TV1 worked for TV1, and the remote for TV2 worked for for TV2. Now it doesn't. What am I doing wrong?

Your shared view is enabled. , press the menu button, then option 6 then option 2, disable shared view then select done. ( this can only be done in single mode) then go back to dual mode.

If the first suggestion did not work, you will need to readdress the remote to the receiver. I have provided instructions on how you can do this. I hope this helps.

    Remote: All Other Remotes
    Go to System Info screen.
Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
    Press the pound (#) button.
Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Dish remote 2 changes channels on both tvs and dish remote 1 changes channels on both tvs

Is the receiver in dual mode? Go to the receiver, open the door, and hit the mode key. If both TVs are still showing the same thing, then the issue is not the mode.

Go to TV 2 (the one without the receiver) and make sure the TV is tuned to channel 60 or 73. If it is still showing the same thing, go to TV1 (the one with the receiver) and hit Menu, system setup, Installation, modulation (menu 6-1-5). make sure the modulation for tv2 matches which channel you put your tv2 on.

Still showing the same thing? check the back of the receiver, the RCA cables (red/white/yellow) are plugged into the TV1 ports not the TV2 ports.

Showing different things but the remote still changes channels on both tvs? Go to TV1, hit menu twice, near the bottom there are two boxes each with a number. This is the address for each remote (tv1 and tv2). On the TV2 remote hold sat until it stays lit, choose a number different than on the screen, touch pound (#), the sat light blinks three times, hit record, the number on the screen should change to match the one you typed in.

Still being silly? Call a priest, you have a poltergeist!

I will provide you our link explaining in more detail about connections. If you have any further questions I will provide you my e-mail; [email protected]. How do I take my tv off of single mode to dual. And every time the tv1 and tv2 are on diffrent channels, tv1 has the sound from tv2 on it. How does that work?

There are two parts to this, to switch modes just press the mode button on the front right side of the receiver. You are most likely using one of two types of cabling either rca cables these have threecolored tips (red yellow white) or component cables these have five colored tips (red, red, blue, green, white) if this is an HD set up your probably using the component cables. If you look on the back of the receiver all of the cables RCA or component should be connected directly under the green TV1 picture.

How do I record two channels at once on a DMR-EX773EB DVD Recorder

I cannot find on online manual for this model. If dual channel recording an actual specification for the model? If it really should be able to record two channels at once then it may be similar to the DishNetwork DVR. It has one input but internally splits and creates two different outputs for two different channels.
Check to see if there is a mode setting for single/dual. You will need to set it to "dual". The Dishnetwork DVR has what it calls TV1 and TV2. You can record to TV1 but cannot watch a different channel on TV1 while it is recording. You CAN however watch and record a different channel on TV2 while TV1 is recording. (and vice versa). You can also record two shows while watching other recorded shows.
I'm guessing that you may need to look for some recording options to be able to record two channels at once.

Can you buy a universal remote for TV 2 to change the channels? My remote for SAT DISH stopped working the lights on the top come on but I can not change the channel, view the guide etc...

The remote is an Ultra High Frequency remote and most universals are IR MAKING THEM INCOMPATIBLE.

Take the TV2 remote into the TV1 location and using the TV1 remote press MENU-MENU. You will now have a screen up that has remote addresses at the bottom. Take the TV2 REMOTE AND PRESS AND HOLD the SAT button on the upper left of the remote until all lights on top illuminate and release. Now key in a two digit number between 1-16 that is not either number on the screen currently and press the pound sign. The SAT button will flash three times now press the record button until the remote addy for tv2 changes to the new number.

You can cancel out of all of these screens with the TV1 remote. Now go to TV2 see if it works. If not try at the receiver. If it works there have Dish send you a new remote.

Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Tvs sync together

The receiver seems to be in single mode. On the right side of the receiver press the front panel. A small pop open door will open and inside there will be a MODE button. Press this button and ensure both the green and blue lights are lit on the receiver. If they are now but weren't earlier this should solve the issue however there may be another issue.

Take the TV2 remote to the TV1 location associated with that system. With the TV1 remote and TV on press menu menu on the TV1 remote this will bring you to the System Info Screen. Near the bottom of the screen there will be two remote addresses- primary=TV1 and Secondary=TV2. Using the TV2 remote press and hold the small clear SAT button until all light across the top light up. Now key in a two digit number that is different from the original secondary address at this location and also different than the address for TV1. Now press the pound key and the SAT button will flash thrice. Now press the record button a few times until the secondary address changes to the number you selected. Once this is done you can exit out of all screens on all receivers and go to the TV2 location that was having the issue and it should be resolved. I hope this resolved your issue and thanks for using Fix Ya.
