Ice tray will not dump. I was not getting water to tray. Replaced the valve and tray is now filling and freezing but will not dump cubes. Is there a heating that takes place to allow the cubes to be released? Big D

Your ice maker has a sensor that begins the cycle of dumping the ice. Once frozen the ice maker should begin its cycle of about 6 stages beginning with the heating element below the ice maker warming up enough to loosen the cubes from their slots. Then the forks or rake begin to push the ice out of the slots and into the storage in the ice bucket. Nearing the end of the cycle the control board tells the water to come on for 6 to 7 seconds and then waits for the thermostat to tell the ice maker to begin another cycle. For your model ice maker there is a control board in the front that possibly becomes defective. I have looked around for parts but haven’t seen any replaceable parts. The model number for your ice maker is WR30X10093 and can be found here=> Point and Click Appliance Parts or you can go to the home page=> Point and Click Appliance Parts home. At the home page you can enter the model number and part numbers and be able to look over their supplies. If you need more assistance please feel free to let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

My ice maker inst working Whirlpoo; model gz25fsrxyy2

By "ice maker isn't working" do you mean it isn't filling with water, it isn't freezing the water in the ice maker, it isn't dumping the ice cubes into the bin, or it isn't dispensing ice cubes?
Was it previously working and it is not working now?

Typically one can hear the valve when it opens to fill the ice maker with water. Can you hear it attempting to do so? If so, and there isn't any water in the ice tray, check that there is water supplied to the valve at the wall and the valve is open. Is there a water filter? Has it been replaced per the manufacturer's recommendation? (Typically, the water filter should be replaced every six months.)

Is the "full" bar pushed up? It shouldn't be. The bar above the ice cubes should not be in the horizontal position. That position tells the ice maker the bin is full so it should wait until the bar goes down, indicating some ice has been used.

Can you hear the bayonet turning? Is the ice maker attempting to dump out cubes whether or not they exist? The next issue after you confirm there is water going into the ice maker that is being frozen and the ice maker knows to dump the ice, is the bayonet. There is a motor that turns the bayonet and a mechanical connection. Either could be at fault.

My ice maker receives water after it has filled and frozen ice cube tray, water in door is a very weak stream, where do I find a correct water line routing diagram, already replaced water valve?

A plugged water filter will cause low flow. To identify which solenoid operates the water flow on the door have a helper operate it while you feel for which one is working. It's possible you crossed the lines. That would explain water running over frozen ice cubes.

We installed a new subzero side by side 2 years ago and have had problems with the icemake off and on. Now it doesn't make ice and the appliance center does not seem to be able to fix it. The have...

did they check the water valve?does it fill with water?all it does is the ice maker calls for water, the valve fills it,the water freezes, the cubes dump out and it fills again, most of the time it's either the ice maker or the water valve,if they changed the ice maker and the board all that's left is the valve or a broken wire somewhere in the ice maker harness

Ice maker no longer makes ice; water still comes for the filered water outlet but there appears to be no water going to the ice maker;

THE WATER VALVE IN THE BACK IS A TWO PART SYSTEM. EVEN THOUGH YOU GET WATER FROM THE DOOR THE ICE MAKER SIDE OF THE VALVE COULD BE BAD. CHANGE VALVE. B4 YOU SPEND THAT KINDA MONEY--DO A SELF CHECK FIRST--POUR WATER IN THE ICE CUBE TRAY. IF IT FREEZES AND DUMPS THEN CHANGE THEWATER VALVE. IF IT FREEZES BUT DONT DUMP CHANGE THE ICE MAKER.

I just replaced the icemaker in my Kenmore Refrigerator with the WR30X10093 Kit that fits many other models of refrigerators also. The water slightly overfills the ice tray and freezes the cubes together...

Congratulations, you have very good water pressure. I am not aware of any adjustment for the time the fill solenoid opens. The easiest thing I can suggest is to adjust the water flow with the supply valve. If you have the typical saddle valve, it has quite a taper to the piercing needle, and you could possibly use that to reduce the water flow, thus the volume of the fill. A little trial and error will be needed to find the right number of turns for the valve to be opened. I also recommend a water filter in the line to reduce contaminants, which makes the ice taste better. The filter should be replaced every 6-months or so depending on the amount of impurities.

No water in ice maker mold

may have a bad valve . but try this first . put about 6 to 8 oz of water in icemaker / when it freezes it will call for a harvest. / if it dumps the ice cubes / at this time the ice maker will call for a refill . if valve is ok it will refill . also ck the water inlet tube to the ice tray . they some times will freeze with ice thus blocking the water fill. hot water up the tube will correct this problem. hope this helped .. mm feed back pls ..

No ice Ice maker does not fill up with water

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it freezes and dumps , then check the fill tube going to the ice maker , to see if it is frozen up inside . If it is , replace the water valve behind the refrig , where the wall water line connects to on the refrig . If the ice maker dumps the cubes , but does not refill with water , then the water valve is bad . If the ice maker does not dump the cubes , then replace the ice maker .

Ice maker doesn't work

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it freezes and dumps the cubes , but doesn't fill with water , replace the water inlet valve ( the piece that the wall water line connects to on the fridge ) . Also check to be sure that the fill tube from the back of the freezer to the ice maker , isn't blocked with ice , as this is caused by a seeping bad water valve . If the ice maker doesn't dump the cubes , after freezing , then replace the ice maker . Also check to make sure the coils under the front of the refrig , are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc.

Ice maker overflows

The Icemaker may not be dumping the cubes after they freeze then more water pours in on top of them. The icemaker has a heater which turns the cubes loose and allows them to dump. You may find someone to work on an icemaker, not sure. If this is the case, I would replace the icemaker.

Ice cube dispenser not working

I had this problem. The root cause was that mineral deposits had built up in the ice cube tray. The ice would not "dump"... but stayed in the tray after the dump cycle. I did not catch it quickly and eventually the plastic frame broke. That was easily replaced. Inspect the ice tray to see that all cube surfaces are smooth. If there are mineral deposits, they need to be removed. Do NOT scrub with anything abraisive or you will ruin the tray. As you are looking straight on at the Ice maker, with the bin out, depress the small black retangular tab. The tray assembly will come apart to remove the tray. Rinse the tray, then fill with warm vinegar. Let it soak. You may scrub with soft cloth, finger or fingernail to remove deposits. Replace the tray and you should be in business.
