Door Locked after FA code

Duet GHW9300 front loader was turned on when the water supply was off. It flashed FA code. The cancel was pressed 2 times and unplugged but the door is still locked and it sounds like it wants to add water (sort of a humming noise). It is responding to changing the cycles but it won't cancel of shut off and the door is locked. I need my clothes! Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I am a computer technician and mechanically handy. Thanks

Help with whirlpool awm 8103/1

Okay, ther manufacturer recommends unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. It could be you have a momentary glitch causing some problems. If you still have the same problem after leaving the washer unplugged, the following link explains the "FH" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615354-fh_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

If your clothes are stuck inside and you still cannot get them out because the door will not unlock, you will have to use the manual release to open the door. The next link explains how:

I hope this helps you. If you require additional assistance, please let me know.

Duet Front load Washer - will not start cycle.

Does your front washer, every time you press cancel give you a code that looks similiar to ER?

I checked the description and for some reason whirlpool denies having a F22 code on the Duet, but that doesn't mean much.

I am suspecting several things.

1. Electrical supply may have had a surge at one point or another. You may have to ask your electrical company to put a surge protector on your house by the meter. This is not to protect everything it has its own limits!

2. Unplug the machine for a while. Turn off the water supply and disconnect hoses The machine knows if there is water coming into the machine by a trip sensor.

3. drain out your exhaust line. There is a possiblity your machine thinks you are full of water when it is actually empty.

4 put everything back on, and then plug machine back in after about an hour or so. If it still doesn't work, it is time for your local appliance repair service technician to come out. He will check door trip sensor, and a few other areas that may be acting up.

Good luck.
