In this model the electric temp controls only let the bottom adjust for white wine temps and the top for reds. I drink more reds than whites and wanted the larger bottom section to house the red bottles and smaller top section for whites.
Anyone know how to manipulate the electric controls to change the temps?
I don't think you'll be able to do this without some modifications to the unit. The wine cooler is designed to blow cold air into the bottom section, and the top section cools down by spillover of cool air flowing between the glass door and the temperature control panel.
I guess if you could figure out a way to turn the panel that separates the top from the bottom you could make it work. You'd have to switch the temperature sensing leads on the thermostat inside that panel(that would be pretty easy) and you'd probably want to flip the LED indicators so they read right-side-up. The main issue would be that the screw holes for mounting that separator panel are all on the bottom, but when you flipped it, they would be on top with no holes in the walls to screw them into. If you are willing to do that, you might be able to make it work as you would like.
Good Luck!
