Hi my 42 lg plasma has coloured lines all over it this morning i can hear the channel in the background there is no picture just the coloured lines and idea what is wrong and can it be fixed?thanks

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.

In my lg 42" plasma tv i can see only half screen from up part
i cant see the screen from lower part
from lower it showing colourful lines
I have the exact same problem with my 42" LG plasma which is about 3 yrs old. Turned it on one morning and had verticle lines all over it with only the sound playing.

I'm having the exact same problem on a RU-42PX11 that is 3 years old.
i also just started having this problem, mine is about 3 years old as well. the only thing we have done is add a wii game system to it, plugged into the av2 input on the side

We have colored vertical lines coveing 1/2 the screen on our 42" LG plasma t.v.; the other 1/2 screen has a picture. The ste is about 3 years old.

Same thing here, turned it on yesterday to be confronted with all the lines too! My 42" LG plasma is also approx 3 years old.

Same problem again its also 3yrs old.Model- 42PX10 42". Has vertical coloured lines on half the screen and the other half is black, with sound still working.
I have vertical color bars on the left and right (sometimes fading in and out) of the screen but still have picture and sound. The 42" LG is about 3yrs old. It started with one line then has progressed to five.
Any idea on problem...or where to get parts for... or cost to cure ???

my plasma works fine (panasonic TH-37P.XXX) for 20 minutes. after that it has multicolured lines appearing on it. when i switch it off for 5 minutes and back on works fine but again after 20 minutes give lines any ideas.
