Hello here is the homepage:

You have probably connected the +12 volt 4 pin, connector wrong.
The pci-e graphic connector, sometimes fit here.
When this happends the mainboard will not boot up.
Try to read the manual for the power supply.

Good luck

When i boot up the computer it starts beeping immediately, otherwise boots just fine

The beeps are part of the boot sequence, more normally called the post report. The beeps length and number usually indicate a problem.

Check with the abit website, you need the post sequence for your motherboard.

Usually, with a post report, you get a single beep which means everything is tickety boo.

Wont boot up abit ag8 error code f.o tried

F.O. code points to button reset? This one is beyond me, suggest you see if the reset button is sticking on and causing it not to boot ( try bypassing this and the power switch and fabricate a switch to power the board on)

Abit av8 bios post codes 8.3 - 8.6 - 9.c What is failing on boot ? I get one long beep followed by 4 short beeps. I have swapped video cards and reflashed the bios with no help. If I reboot 2 or 3...

I still did not find beep code that match your problem..

Anyways here are the common beep codes for your motherboard.. it might help you too.
1. No beep - no reaction, the mother board is dead, power supply problem, processor and or ram problem.
2. 1beep - board is working fine.
3. One long beep then it shuts down - cpu problem, your processor is not working or missing.
4. 1short beep - system boots normally
5. 2short beeps - CMOS setting error.
6. 1long 1short beep - dram error
7. 1long 2 short beep - video card or monitor not connected
8. 1long 3 short beep - keyboard error.
9. 1long 9short beep - ROM error
10. Long beep - memory card is missing or not connected
11. Short beep - power supply error
12 Four beeps - there is no fan detected on Fan1 or Fan2 header. make sure to attach or reset CMOS bios to factory setting.

Hope this gave you an idea of your problem..

Much appreciated if you rate this help..thanks..

AV8 Motherboad post code C5 freezes on boot.

Hi...

Try cleaning the contact point of the memory modules "with a pencil eraser" and insert them back... Clean also the Processor heat sink if dusty... Then check the voltage of the CMOS (3V) battery it maybe dead, if so you need to replace that with the same type.
Keep me posted if still does not work...

Happy fixya...

Computer wont turn on trys to but keeps restarting itself

83 - 96 - 9E (for a **** second)-9F
on the post code definition display on the mobo.
When it hits 9E it has shutdown and reads 9F when totally powered off.
I have read on other newsgroups that the power supply might be at fault

I took this from an overclocking forum, I hope it helps
