Windows 7 does not have support for the 1180C...however, I have read from multiple sources that the 1120C driver will work just fine for it. The 1120C driver is included with Windows 7. Though, you might need to download it from Windows Update when you are setting it up.
Power on the machine, check front panel 'cartridge led' blinking? replace the cartridges,if 'paper led blinking' indicates paper jam check for paper jam.If printer comes in ready mode check in system drivers its is ready mode?.. if no check parallel cable if its good replace formatter..
I have the same Printer and it works great in Windows XP Pro, so maybe you need to check their website for updated printer drivers...? My Printer is the HP Deskjet 1120C Professional Series Printer, that's the full name so I guess its the same printer...can print up to 13x19 inches....I've used the heck out of mine and it just now developed a problem where it won't pull the paper in from the front, but believe it or not I can load one sheet at a time from the back....
