My hisense fridge freezer child lock will not go when I tap on it for 3 seconds as the booklet says so the water and ice will not work

Sounds like the water hose to the ice maker has come loose. Is it in warranty?

yes the evap fan in the frezer should be running when the compressor is running[it may not for a minute or so as it starts up.Amana's are good for the connectors at the evap fan motor comming apart.the connectors are white and will look like its together but when you pull it will come apart.i would always cut the connector out and use a wire nut so wont happen again.if any other questions please email thru FixYa and i will be glad to help. Some models need an after market drain heat strip added.

SOURCE: Neff K3990 American style fridge ice maker is not producing ice

The ice maker unit give the command to the water valve to relese water for a short time.
you cna check with volt meter on the water volve that got the pip go to the ice maker unit if it getting 120V for short time when the fingers of the ice maker making full round.
if you get 120v the problem is the valve (the ice maker and the water have difrent water path so its difrent valve used) if you dont get 120v or the fingers of the ice maker not turning then its your ice maker unit need to be replace.
