Check online for your Lexmark printer to see if there are any new drivers that you can update with.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the thought, but I have the latest drivers installed. The printer works fine, just no scan."

Check all connections. I suspect a losely connected cable that generates greater interference when scanning...
Try to unplug and re-plug all connectors.

dan123 sent me this link for the hp3500c driver (actually more than just a driver).

. I am also running 10.5.5 and it works. It is a dmg file, so it's easy to install.
SOURCE: macbook pro does not detect digi 002 rack
yeah i have an intel imac and had the same problem. I upgraded to pt le 7.4 and now pro tools recognizes the 002 rack and it works fine, but still the core audio manager does not recognize the hardware. It says in "use" when I first turn on the 002 rack, then it says not connected after about 20 seconds. I don't think this really matters though because I have beeen able to do everything fine without having the core audio managr recognizing the 002 rack. I hope that helps

SOURCE: Mac Intel OX 10.5.5 drivers not loading and working
I had this same problem with my MacBook Pro Intel notebook running the latest Mac OS. I went to the OKI web site ( http://my.okidata.com/pp-C5200n.nsf/openingdrivermenu?OpenFrameSet ) and downloaded the OKI C5000 GDI Intel driver. I followed the install instructions to load the driver. Next, I went to system preferences and selected printers. Then I selected the + button under printers. My current printers showed up on the list. I then selected "More Printers" and the other drivers loaded on my Mac were listed. One option was OKI USB. I selected this option THEN I plugged my USB cable from the OKI into my Notebook. The computer recognized the printer. I hit Save and I proceeded to print my first document. FYI: I spent several hours trying to get this thing to work yesterday with the USB cable already plugged in. I don't know why it would not work. This worked for me. Good luck.
