Refrigerator Leaking From Icemaker
If it's leaking from inside the freezer then it's coming from the icemaker or the drain. Lets start with the icemaker. If it's the icemaker there will likely be an ice hanging from the icemaker or just a big block of ice in the ice bin. In any case, it will be obvious.
There are a few reasons this will happen: one is the icemaker will stop turning when it gets to the fill cycle. This will happen when the gears in the icemaker break. On GE icemakers that were made before the year 2000, you can see the gears by taking off the cover on the front of the icemaker. However, if the small gear is broke you can't buy it as far as I know. I have been taking them off of junk icemakers for years. So this part may be hard to find. But if the big gear is broke replace it. Another reason icemakers leak is the fill tube is stopped up and I already discussed this earlier (replace water valve and clean out tube).
Another reason icemakers leak is that the water comes in too fast so it over fills the first cube mold. When this happens you will get a few drops of water when it fills. To fix this you have to take the icemaker out and remove the piece on the side of the icemaker. I don't know the name of it so for this we'll call it cube separator because that's what it does (most of them just snap off others have a screws). Now take silicone (RTV) and put a small amount around the first cube mold only under the cube separator. Now reinstall the cube separator and wipe off excess silicone and it shouldn't leak anymore.
Another reason that icemakers leak is that the refrigerator water valve sticks after the icemaker goes out of the fill cycle. When this happens the valve stays on and the icemaker keeps on turning, in which case, replace the refrigerator water valve.

SOURCE: Washer constantly fills with hot water even when turned off.

Sounds like a bad mixing valve. To verify that it is the valve you need to turn off the washer when it is filling. If water keeps running, replace the valve, Cost is under $50. for most washers.

SOURCE: Water continues to drip from fill tube after the fill.

Chances are the flapper is leaking. Thats causing the random refilling as the tank slowly loses water into the bowl.
Replace the flapper with only the best available at your supply house. the cheap ones tend to leak even when new. The good ones are less than 8 bucks most places.

If your fill valve has the float ball, there should be a screw right on top of the fill valve at the end of the rod holding the ball to adjust the water level.
Closckwise lowers the level.

Be carefull not to break the plastic ones. If the adjustment is all the way in or does not work, you will need to replace the fill valve.

You could also try bending the metal rod holding the ball, but only as a last resort.

SOURCE: Ice Maker Overfills With Water

Ice maker has adjustment on right side of power head. If ice maker is inside on upper left, you can remove white cover from it and the adjusting screw in on right. Turning counter-clockwise will decrease fill by 1/2 to 3/4 of ounce. Sounds like a small amount, but ice make only uses 4 ounces per fill. If this does not fix, try replacing fill valve. If ice maker ice bin is in the freezer door, you have to remove cover to ice maker in the top of freezer. Ice maker is screwed into top of freezer and need to be removed to take off cover to adjuster screw. same procedure for reducing water flow time as above.

SOURCE: water keeps going and overflows

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly

You will have to open the top panel for steps below

Water level control is handled by the water level pressure switch inside the top panel. It is about 3.25 inches in diameter, has 3 wires connected to it and a hose that looks like a small vacuum line.

Check that vacuum looking line for any holes, kinks or disconnects.

You will need about 3 feet of the same knid of line available from any autoparts store for this test.

Remove the machine side hose and connect the 3 ft hose you just obtained. DO NOT drop the machine hose into the machine.

Place the timer on the wash cycle and start the cycle
Result = fill

Force air into the hose orally until you hear a click.
Result = fill stop agitation begin

If it does not pass this test then the pressure switch is bad.

If water never stops flowing the water inlet valve has debris internally and will probably have to be replaced.

Don't forget to reconnect the machine side hose to the pressure switch.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Kelly

Then remove the vacuum

When i turned off water supply it stopped leaking

there should be a shut off switch that might be broken or blocked in the open position when the water gets to the correct level this switch should stop the water flow. if it is broken or jammed the water will keep flowing. I hope this was useful.

Cold water won't stop before rinse cycle

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

I have a AEG OKO Favorite 675 dish washer and if you start it or open the door it sounds as if it is just draining all the time, what can be wrong?

Hello Barbara, I have one of these dishwashers and this is what happens. There is a drip tray in the bottom of the machine that catches any leaked water. There is a float switch in the drip tray that detects water in the tray. If there is water in the tray, the float switch turns on the drain pump. This will immediately pump all of the water out of the machine and keep the pump running until you remove the water from the drip tray. The pump only pumps out the machine but does not pump from the drip tray. Also the pump will keep running even if the door is open or if the machine cycle is stopped. The only way to stop the pump is to turn off the electricity supply. But also turn off the water supply at the same time, because if the valve that feeds water into the machine is faulty, it will fill the machine till it overflows and if the power is off the float valve cannot turn on the drain pump. On this machine, the solenoid valve that let\'s water into the washer is at the end of the inlet pipe when is connects to the water supply. It is powered by line voltage (230 volts in our case). If this is faulty, it can be replaced with a commercial solenoid valve. The is a two core cable running inside the outer plastic pipe on the inlet pipe. This carries the power to the solenoid valve.
To empty the water from the drip tray, remove the panel from the front of the washer. It is below the front door and has two screws on each end. When you remove this you will see a hole on the left that is big enough to put your finger through and feel if there is water in the tray. If there is, push through a small plastic pipe and suck out the water. It does not take much water to switch on the float valve, maybe the door was not closed properly and some water leaked into the bottom of the unit.
I gained the above knowledge by bitter experience.

The ice maker on the kitchen aid refrigerator is not producing any ice.

Check the cut-off/ overflow bar, its the little rod that lifts up as the tray fills. It normally does not become stuck but has a catch n hold position when moved up to a certain point. This allows you to stop ice flow and water from filling the ice maker tray for maintenance, cleaning and keeps ice from building up and getting stale and bad tasting. If you have an in line water filter or cut-off valve, these may need to be replaced and checked to see if they are functioning. Check the water supply line that runs from a source to the refrigerator to be sure it is not clogged, kinked or compressed. The ice tray may also have to be pushed "back" into the slot so that a safety/shutoff latch is triggered which controls the water/power to the ice-maker unit. A good idea to unplug fridge/freezer when checking water line connections and be sure to know where your main water supply shut-off valve is, this small supply line will put a gallon of water on your floor in less than 3 min! Good luck.

Ice maker making little ice/Leaking water on floor.

The ice trays bust be cleaned to prevent calcium build up. This will prevent the ice from froming in trays.
The overflow could be caused by the freezer not being level, or by the water fill timer not shutting of the incoming water. This will keep the water temp. too high to freeze the water. Also check the fill valve for sepage.

Ice Maker Overflowing

i would recommend changing the water valves as they may be sticking or leaking now you can take the icemaker loose get a small baby bottle short the terminals to cycle water fill catch it with the bottle and see how much water it dumps should be about 4 ounces if the valve leaks will over fill the ice maker over a period of time say the valve is leaking a few drops at a time and the bail arm has the icemaker shut off because its touching ice in the bin but the water just keeps dripping down the fill tube till it runs over did you replace the whole icemaker or just the motor module
