SOURCE: sub making horrible thumping garbage sounds

you need an noise filter in line. It's been a few years since I've had a system but I had the same problem. High power amps like the one you have can actually pick up on the electric pulses from your ignition system. I think I got mine at walmart, or auto zone, somewhere like that. Their pretty cheap too. I don't remember how its hooked up, but If you know how to hook and amp up, this should be no problem.

SOURCE: can i hook up my sub if it's wired to a 2 ohm and my amp is 4 ohm

Hi martineztag
You should never connect a load of an impedance less than the min the amp is able to drive. This can have disastrous consequences that may easily result in failure of the amps output stages. You need to use a different configuration that does not overload the amp in this manner for safe operation.

SOURCE: I hooked my Hifonics BXi 1610 Brutus series

wire the subs if thair dual 4 ohm . in parallel. red to red and black to black. giving it a 2ohm load. do the other sub the same. and conect it on the amp . turn your gain about 12oclock and db level less than 12oclock and your frequnecy around 80-100. and that should work

Im trying to run two kenwood 6/9,s and a mtx sledge hammer 12'' sub of a mtx 6004 amp.where do i put my rca,s front or rear / and if this is poss how do i bridge the sub ????? im lost

Im kind of confused with what exactly your asking. Are you trying to run 3 subs off of an amp? If so, the RCA's should go to the front of the amp, and if your plugging 3 subs in to it, you need to have a 3+ channel amp. There is a way to hook it up differently though. I have 4 12" Hifonics subs running off a 2400 watt Nitro-BMW-486 amp. I just have two subs running to each of the two channels.

I have a Hifonics BXI1208d mono subwoofer amp but i have 2 sets of wire terminals and they go negative negative postive postive. Which do I use?

Depends if its bridgeagle or bridge internally. bridgeing provides the most power to a mono system. 2 positives and 2 negative you have a 2 channel amp. Heres a link to check out, you should be able to figure out your system and hook it up with this. Hope it helps. http://www.wikihow.com/Bridge-an-Amplifier
