Try unplugging the TV for 2 minutes. TVs have become little computers and need rebooting now and then. it should be fine after you plug it back in and turn it back on.

Try unplugging and waiting about a minute and then plug it in again. If that doesn't work then it's probably a problem in the power supply.

SOURCE: 52 inch insignia tv it went black but still has sound

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I have an Insignia 50inch Flat with no picture or sound just went black

Most likely the power supply board or the fuse. Insignia is really an LG TV. It is Best Buy's house brand. The Geek squad can fix it.

My screen went black, its a insignia 20'' lcd.

Generally, problems like this require repairs to resolve. You may carry the TV in to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

My insignia will not turn on. No power light but has power to tv

Our Insignia will not turn on. It was on and then suddenly went black. We checked the power to the plug in no problem there. We unplugged it and let it set for a few minutes but it still will not come back on. We have had some low voltage a couple of times today. It was plugged into a surge protector.

After few minutes LCD picture went black but sound works ok

most likely the power inverter, also suspect the p/s. best to have a trained tech check it. Julio at [email protected]

Accidentally locked out of my TV

Unfortunately with this model of Insignia you MUST have the remote that comes with that model number in order to unlock it. Other Insignia remotes won't work. So I have ordered another remote from an online company. Hopefully that will work. I'll probably have to call Insignia to have them walk me through it once the remote arrives.
