There is a temperature limit switch that is likely responsible for this shutdown. If you are able, take the tower off the stand and split the case (probably a half dozen small Philips screws to remove). Look for an accumulation of dust in the area of the limit switch or on the vertical fan assembly. If you have an air compressor you may use a blower nozzle carefully to clean where you cannot reach in the fan cage. Reassemble completely before testing. Do not do any test with the case opened/off.
SOURCE: Aloha Breeze Tower Fan Will Not Oscillate
hi,
yes this is the oscillation motor, and they generally arent servicable, and need to be replaced, you can try and oil it, sometimes they have small air vents, and you can do a voltage test with a voltmeter but I believe the motor has failed or is gummed up, you can try and take it apart, they are held together with bent metal compression areas along the circumfrence of the motor, try sewing machine oil, you might have to do some research to find a replacement motor, maybe take it to a local clock shop, those motors are very close to what they used to put in old wall clocks.
good luck

You might have a stripped gear in the tower where it oscillates. Hope this helps!

blend door actuators. If you have the AZC system (automatic zone control) used in the limited (the one with dual digital readouts) you can use the on board diagnostic to read the code. while running, press the a/c and recirc buttons at same time then turn drivers temp control one click clockwise. release a/c and recirc buttons. If you have codes that show up, write them down and google search for these codes. It will tell you exactly what is wrong.

mine does the same thing every year. I just clean out the dust from the vents on the back of the heater so the heater can breath otherwise it could get too hot and the safety fetcher kick in and makes the heater stop working.
