My Movado Series 800 second hand zeroes out at the 3-second spot, not at zero (12).

The chronograph can be reset by pulling out the crown to the first or second position and pressing the start button or top button. This will begin to move the sweep arm and you can stop it on the 12:00 or 0 position. Make sure that when you have the battery changed they do this for you.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the quick response. I adjusted my watch seconds after I read the email. THis is a terrific service."

Thanks! This also worked on my Casio Edifice EF-507 . I pulled the crown to the second (outmost) position and then started pressing the start-stop button repeatedly. Each push will move the starting position by 1 second, until you get to 12 o'clock, then push the crown back to its normal position.

I just recieved my Movado 800 series watch today and the large chronograph timer hand won't reset to zero (top of dial @ 12 o'clock) when I press the zero button. It resets to 56 minute position....

you do not need to return, as this is re-settable. Pull out crown to the first position (date setting) and then toggle with upper push button. If upper button do not do the job, try the bottom one. When you reach 12, then push the crown back in. Start the chrono, stop it and check if it returns to 12.

How can i get second hand to start working?

I couldn't find the operating instructions for your watch but a similar watch made by anothe manufacturer makes me think that the "second hand" is actually part of the chronograph i.e. it acts as a stop watch.

Try pressing the button at the two o'clock position. If the had moves, press the button again to stop it. To set the hand to zero, press the button at the 4 O'clock position.
I hope this helps.

If this does not produce the desired result, go to http://www.movado.com/contact-us and speak to them about it.

The chronograph hour hand on my movado series 800 is out of sync and i cant get it back to the 0 position. I have pulled out the crown and pushed the start/stop button...

Try pulling the crown out and using the reset button to move hands beside the sweep arm. If this doesn't work then you may need to take it to a repair shop that can reset or AC the watch. With a movement as fine as Movado I wouldn't attempt this yourself. If you make a mistake the repair could cost more than the watch. Be sure that you have the watch resealed so it maintains its water resistance.

Just bought this watch today (movado 800 series) and the second hand (hand C) doesnt move at all. It is part of the chronograph function. It is stuck at the 9 oclock position. When chronograph is...

I wouldnt try to return it. I would go back and inform the store of the problem you have and they have no choice but to either fix it, show you how to solve the problem, exchange it, or at the least, return it but please give them a chance to fix the issue.
Best wishes,

Re-set quartz chronograph sweeping second hand

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C
