I had a similar problem with mine. The problem turned out to be a blocked drain line. Using a siphon, then sponge and bucket to drain the washer, tip it over and remove drain lines. I was lucky and found several dollars in quarters, along with some other gunk, in a bend of the drain line. Hope this can help.

Capri washer

Commonly the drain pump is run by a belt drive, which has possibly broken. You should be able to take the back panel off the washer by undoing several screws, and then look to see if anything is obviously broken.

Water in the bottom drawer

Take a glass and empty as much as possible. Take out the racks and get a towel to soak up the rest.

Take the washer arm out and detach the filter plate collar. Also take out the drain filter and clean everything. You could take the washer rotor out and clean the rotor cavity.

Put everything back and start the dishwasher on fast cycle. If water is still not draining and provided the pump is running, then you have a blockage in the drain hose or the kitchen sink end. If you are using inskerator then make sure it not blocked.

Does everything but drain

Look for a blockage or a kink in the drain hose.

Some washers will also have a valve and pump on the drain line independent of the main drive. Due to high vibration of the washer, it is not uncommon for wires to come off here.

Checking the drain hose for kinds is easy, just have to look at it and see if there are any sharp bends and such. To do the rest, you are going to have to drain it using expedient methods. Try taping a garden hose to the end of the drain hose, roll the garden hose outside. Lower the drain hose to the floor. If the washer starts to drain with a pretty good flow (washer should be turned off at this point), then you likely don't have a valve on the drain, but the pump isn't working for whatever reason. Let the washer drain as much as it will, remove clothing, and turn the washer over onto its front side.

Remove the bottom cover (if present), and follow the drain line back to the pump assembly. If you have a pump near the drain connection, check its wiring (unplug first) to make sure everything is tight. If the drain line goes to a pump that is driven off the main motor, then the impeller is damaged or coupler is broken.

Most washers will drive the water pump off the same motor that turns everything else. To avoid draining during wash cycle, the main motor will turn in reverse to engage the water pump. If the coupler is damaged, it is able to still run through cycles normally, but can't turn the water pump. The opposite is also true, if it is able to drain, but can't spin or agitate.

Washer won't spin fast water doesn't drain

Remove your bottom front kick panel, usually two to three screws on the very bottom front of the washer. Unplug washer, have a lot of towels ready to mop up the water that comes out of the washer. In the very center front of the washer is the round plastic drain pump filter for the washer. Unscrew this a little,(turn the plastic screw counterclockwise) and let the water drain completely as you soak it up with your towels. When it is completely drained, unscrew the filter the rest of the way and clean out all the debris in the filter and inside its receptacle. Reinstall everything and test. I recommend you do this at least every 6 months. If this doesn't work then you may have a bad water pump. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Water pump out??

The washer filled with too much water, causing a switch to trip. Then everything stops. It tries to drain during FL but if it can't drain, the washer powers down.Choose Drain & Spin to let the washer drain. Then you have to take the washer apart. Fix the problem. I personally can't tell you what to do because I don't own a Calypso.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Bad Pump
High Water Flow

Water won't drain

If it was your house drain line plugged, water would regurgitate onto your laundry floor. This is the most likely solution to me, as it sounds like the washer is slowly clogging up, as everything else is OK. Unplug the washer. Remove the front kick panel and gain access to the water strainer, which is in line from the tub drain to the pump. Open the strainer (there will be water). Remove and clean. Inspect for debris. Reassemble and try. Please repost if this didn't fix you.
