Instead, they can provid a pro-rated refund, depending on how long you have owned your humidifier. A receipt from your purchase is needed to get a refund. Yours is 17 gal a day. Could only find Honeywell which recommends their 12 gal up to 2000 Sqaure foot home. So yours should by good around 2500 to 3000 square feet
The water is only dispensing over the evaporator pad while the furnace is in the heating mode. When the furnace finishes cycling the humidifier will also stop.
