If you need an engine manual, then look up the manual on the engine manufacturer's web site. eg Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Techumseh. Porter Cable manual would just have cart and pump info.
I have now got the manual for the Kenmore Elite washer and dryer coming in by mail. I had gone to the local Sears store and then to the service center close to home. The service center was able to find the manuals and order them for me.
I have the Service Technician Diagnostic Guide...it was located behind the lower front panel on the right hand side. It's not really a user manual, but wasn't sure what info you needed that you hoped might be in the user manual, as opposed to a Diagnostic Guide.
