Help! My class c motorhome is plugged in directly to my garage for electricity yet none of the plugin outlets in motorhome work. The outlets were working just fine until I had probably too many things plugged in and I must have tripped a breaker or something but the breaker box in garage was normal. Not sure where to look in camper to find some kind of reset switch. I do, however, have lights and furnace working fine.

There should be a breaker panel on your motor home if that's all ok the the receptacles are probably looped from a ground fault receptacle you will need to rest the GFI button

I suggest you check the ground of the wall socket. Many three proung sockets are not grounded.

SOURCE: furnace keeps tripping circuit break

Furnace. To confirm use an Ampprobe or other brand ampmeter and see how much current is being drawn. If it is more that 80% of the breaker rating, it si for sure the Furnace.

SOURCE: Electric Furnace Trips Breakers

it is normal for a breaker that is run right on the edge (50 amp and your furnance to use 45) to get weak after a while . the first thing you should do is change the breaker with the same type and amp rateing . it should take care if it

SOURCE: Everytime I plug in the power cord, it trips the breaker.

Refrigerators are not designed to run on a GFCI. Try a heavy duty extension cord to the fridge from a outlet that is not GFCI protected. If it still trips you probably have a short circuit in the compressor.

My 1996 Class C Motorhome has no power and black smoke is coming out of the exhaust

Petrol or Diesel? Black smoke is the engine running 'Rich'. The mixture of air and fuel has too much fuel and not enough air. When was the motorhome's engine last given a major service? Clogged air filters can cause black smoke and clogged fuel filters can cause a power loss. Are there any warning lights on the Dashboard?
If a service doesn't solve this you will need to move on to other areas. Parts like the EGR valve, (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), and the injectors. The DPF, (Diesel Particulate Filter), on a diesel engine can also cause these issues.
You could get it plugged into a diagnostic system or a OBD2 scanner to check for trouble codes but this will cost you money. Ask at a few different garages as the price charged to scan the system can be VERY different between garages.
Comment below with more details about the vehicle and I'll see if I can help you more.

2014 Chrysler Town & Country and none of the battery charger ports work, All 3 of them. Replaced all three fuses and nothing. How is it that none of the battery direct phone/cigarette plugins work

Possible all of the power outlets are fed from a common source and somehow the source died or became disconnected.

Little point replacing fuses without also testing that power is reaching each fuse and leaving each fuse. I suggest you obtain a test lamp and use it, following a wiring diagram if necessary.

How do I install? I have the base plugged into service outlet and the adapter into electrical outlet. The phone reads "no line". I cant get the setup. Jerry Koenig

  1. Check is that your cables are plugged in firmly.
  2. Check is to make sure you have the filter installed correctly (as shown in the manual, make sure its not backwards).
  3. You need to confirm with your service provider that the line is actually active (some times it takes a while for the service provider to activate a line)
  4. Replace the cables and see if that works (the cables could be faulty).

If none of the above works then the easiest thing for you to do is call your service provider for assistance (they should have a technical support line).

Hardwired code opener no longer works

Here are the directions to program your hardwired keypad.

First unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

Electric outlet does not work

LETS START HERE , MOST OF THE GFCI BREAKERS WILL SOMETIMES RUN THROUGH THE BATH ROOM OUTLETS AND THEN OUTSIDE IF YOU HAVE A GFCI IN THE BATH OR LAUNDRY OR BASEMENT OR GARAGE MAKE SURE NONE OF THE RESET BUTTONS ARE IN THE TRIP POSITION THE NEC CODE CALLS FOR ALL OF THE LISTED PLACES AS WELL AS CRAWL SPACES AND NEXT TO AC/HEATPUMP TO BE ALL GFCI AND TO SAVE MONEY AND WIRE MOST OF THESE ARE DAISEY CHAINED TOGETHER TO SAVE MONEY SO THEY PUT ONE CLOSE TO THE BREAKER PANEL AND FEED THE REST OFF IT IT WILL BE A GOOD CK I HAVE HAD MANY CALLS FOR THIS THROUGH THE YEARS
