Sorry, I have just got back in the country. I think you need unit pricing during multiplication. This is held in one of two or three settings, so we can now go through and find it. In the machine feature programming section (just after keyboard programming), you'll find lots of tables with address codes at the top and then in brackets it will have a description. Look for the address code that has the description '(print control for receipt)' next to it. Tell me what the address code number is for that table.

You can easily change it. There are 1-5 lines.

I recently changed top 4 lines for myself.
Max you can put in std font is 24 characters...so have to do spacing yourself if you want it centered.
Step 1: Change key to PGM mode
Step 2: Press 2

one way is to create an item with no price in the none department. check boxes for modifier and prompt description. uncheck box print on receipt (unless you want the note on customers tab). set it to print to kitchen. Now create a quick button under touch screen configuration with the function fixed item. label it kitchen notes. enter the item name that you created earlier and save.

Receipt ON/OFF function

You can disable receipt printing in the REG mode to save paper using the receipt ON/OFF function. To disable
receipt printing, press the Rkey in the OP X/Z position. This key toggles the receipt printing status ON and
OFF.
To check the receipt printing status, turn the mode switch to the OP X/Z position or press the lkey in the REG
mode. When the function is in the OFF mode, the receipt off indicator “_” illuminates.
The register will print reports regardless of the receipt state, so the paper roll must be installed.

If your customer wants a receipt after you finalized a transaction with the receipt ON/OFF function in the OFF
mode, press the Rkey. This will produce a receipt. If more than 50 items were entered, the receipt will be

Receipt too long
According to the printer manual http://www.citizen-systems.com/support/downloads/CD-S500UM5_101.pdf
the length of the receipt is set by your POS software only the width is set in the printer to make sure all the letters fit, or wrap to the next line if needed
There must be some settings in the software that allow headings or other text in what is now a blank space.
Instead of Blanks, there must be an 'off' selection for those items (logo motto operator name etc) and a length for a 'cutoff margin'
