My son has a nexbook 11A he will be using it and the screen goes black & wont come back. He restarts it and it works for a while but keeps blacking out. is there a way to fix this?

It's seems you got a busted backlight inverter. Need to replaced a new one or repaired it.

If it's only 5 months old, then it's still under warranty. Right now, I'd advise taking it back to have it fixed instead of taking it apart to replace hardware and possibly voiding a warranty.

Broken powerboard/inverter in the screen presuming its an LCD. Can be costly to fix

just take the positive cable off your battery and that will reset in to the factory settings and that should fix it
