You need to determine the brand/model of hub and then search for parts diagrams or repair procedures. Hubs are not specific to certain bikes, and the hub may change on a model from year to year. Post a pic of your hub, especially any part with writing on it, on a BMX site, or go to a bike shop to ID the hub.

SOURCE: Rear wheel bearing diagram

The bearing is pressed in so you will have to carry the hub to a machine shop to have the old bearing pressed out and the new bearing pressed in once you have the hub off the car.

Process to remove hub is as follows (from the 1990 Miata Service manual)

Remove rear wheel, rear wheel brake caliper assembly (suspend with a rope), and disc plate.

Check for rear hub play with a dial indicator, if excessive play either tighten the locknut or remove hub and replace bearing.

To remove bearing bend up the locknut stake and remove axle nut - torque is between 159 - 217 ft pounds.

Now remove the hub, retaining ring, rear wheel knuckle, wheel bearing (if loose), dust cover.

Replace with new parts, locknut, dust cover, knuckle bushings and hub bolts (if worn).

Take knuckle with wheel bearing to machine shop and have old bearing pressed out and new bearing pressed in.

Assembly is reverse of the above.

I have personally found that by the time I pay a machine shop to do the removal and reinstall of the bearing and take my time into account it is less expensive to pay a good shop to do this work for me.

SOURCE: i just need a diagram of the rear hub on a coaster brake bike

Park Tool's website has a bicycle repair section and it will tell you how to do it. HWOB was trying to help you out; he told you where to get the info. On the Park Tool website, top-right corner of the page is a link to Repair Help. There will be a picture of a bicycle that you can highlight parts on. Click on the FRONT hub and it will show you several options of hubs.

Hope this helps,
matt

SOURCE: KleenMaid Washing Machine shop manuals/repair instructions

There are manuals available but these only tell you about the parts of the machine and the different cycles etc. Its a workshop manual that you need and these are not discussed anywhere on the net, Im not sure these were ever produced.

I have a hyper pro model bmx bike and My back rim tightens up when I start to pedal

Do you mean that the back wheel becomes hard to roll when you start to pedal? And is this tightening up coming from the center of the wheel (bearings, hub, axle), and not from the rim or tire rubbing on something like the brakes or the bike frame? I am guessing a lot here from your breif description of the problem, but if I have that right you will have to remove the rear wheel and partially disassemble the hub. The locknuts that should constrain the space taken up by the bearings and the mechanism that allows you to pedal or coast (assuming this is not a fixed-gear bike) are either loose or adjusted too tight. It is also possible that the coaster mechanism has another problem. Good luck!

Rear axle assembly for triax 26inch crimson 21 speed with shamano equipt. Lt wt allow frame.model # 8507-44..made for dynacraft bsc inc. Just want a manual or an exploded view of the rear assembly.. thank...

I think what you want is a technical document for one of the many Shimano rear hubs.
Somewhere on the hub there should be a model number indicated. Go to the Shimano site and look around for it.

The rear wheel hub assembly on my bike fell out while I was taking it apart. I didn't get a chance to look at it, now I can't get it back together.

There is a book put out by Park Tool that has a great wealth of maintenance and repair technique and information. i believe the information is also available on their website and if you visit it, the link you will want to follow is at the top right hand of the page "Repair Help". Roll your cursor over the hub of the part of the bike you need diagrams for (if you want hub info, it is the front hub you have to click because the rear deals with freehub repair).

Hope this helps,
matt
