If you are hooked up to 120vac, either the you have a problem with the smokers heating element or it puts out more amps than your breakers are able to hold. If you are using 12vdc then you are definitely trying to use more amps than the system can handle. Make sure their is nothing else pulling power from the outlet you are trying to use.
Internal Temp is below 40 degrees. To remedy this, take a hair dryer, and heat up the heat sensor until it is above 40 dgrees. The unit should start to heat up. Keep it on the sensor until the unit is heating for a minute or two, it should stay on after that.

Turn the control on high and wait about three minutes. Shut contol off and restart in about 1 minute, This should have enough pellets in the auger to start before the hot rod shuts off. You can also put a hand full of pellets in the burn pot and usually bu the time these pellets are burned out the others are there. A couple of cycles usually will start them.
grill wok replaces charcoal bin Confirming that it works well. Super idea and
very effective tool for keeping the fire consistently hot. Roughly $12
for one at local depot. This takes the frustration factor out.
Temp will stay nicely for an extended period
of time. You will use less charcoal, but you do need to check on it
every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to keep the temp constant.
Additional information: Source: http://www.smoker-cooking.com/cant-get-the-temp-up.html Going online and reading the reviews on
my smoker from Home Depot I found out that everyone has this problem
with this smoker. Without making any adjustments it doesn't get enough
air to the coals to make the temp go up. Most people drilled holes into
the coal pan and that works fine.
