If you are a repairperson the audio board can be found on e-bay to fix it. If you are an owner check the speaker connection on the unit as someone may have misplugged the speaker cable. Also check setup under audio and select internal speakers.

It looks like the Ysus board failed on your TV. I just fixed one of these TVs by replacing a hybrid that is found on the Ysus assembly.

I have the Haier plasma..Model # 42EP24S and as others it has went to a black screen with only audio...Is there something I can do to fix this....Thank you for all help. Alison

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works.. if this fails then its hardware problem you need to service tv .....

99% it is the YSUS board. You should find one of the two fuses on it blown (open).
In some rare cases it remains intact even when the board has failed, but most of the time it opens.
Replacing the fuse alone will NOT solve the problem.
You need to replace the YSUS or have it repaired:
