Which model Whirlpool Cabrio washer do you have? For the WTW8000DW, you need to pull the dispenser tray forward until you feel resistance. Then push down on the one tab (between the fabric softener compartment and the detergent compartment) near the back of the dispenser. Continue to pull the dispenser tray forward. (Hold the tab down at least to start pulling the tray further forward.)
The manual for the WTW8000DW is available on the product support page: https://www.whirlpool.com/laundry/washers/top-load/p.5.3-cu.ft-he-top-load-washer-with-adaptive-wash-technology,-intuitive-touch-controls.wtw8000dw.html . Scroll down or use the link to the Manuals & Guides section. The direct link to the Use & Care Guide is currently: https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/201504/owners-manual-W10607424-RevB.pdf . See page 14 of the manual for the pictures to go with removing the dispenser for cleaning on this model.
I hope this helps. For the manuals for other Whirlpool washers, use the search feature at https://www.whirlpool.com/services/manuals.html .

You can fill these 2 ways. You can pull out pump from top,at sink , and squeeze soap in .Or you can unscrew bottle from under sink and fill, I'm thinking that your bottle is loose under sink, or the plastic neck has a hairline crack. Im not real clear on where the soap is comming from.Thankyou.

We had a similar problem with water coming out of the soap dispenser when the washer was run. I assumed that it was a problem with the water draining as everyone else posted here. I took off the front panel, got rid of the junk and drained it. Although this was great, it did not solve the original problem. It turns out that there was a sock stuck in between where the water comes out of the soap dispenser and in to the main compartment. Pulled it out with a needle nose plier and good to go. Thanks to everyone for their input here.
