SOURCE: Eureka Altima Vacuum Cleaner w/Power Paw

The way I resolved the problem was to remove the cover at the end of the power paw. Then remove the so side black covers for the shaft. Remove any debris and hair and then put back together. This solved my problem.

Since I replaced the bag in my Eureka Rally 2 (this was the first time) the suction has not been working well. Could you please tell me what I could have done incorrectly. Thankyou

The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor.

I'm looking for CV1801 Vacuum Motor, Greator Toronto... Thanks

Hello There,

I've looked up your model vacuum cleaner, and it seems that I am able to still get this motor for your Eureka central vacuum cleaner. We're located in the United States, but we can certainly ship this to you.

Here's a picture of the diagram for you;

vacuumrepair_1.jpg
We sell the genuine Eureka motor for $199.00, however you may save substantially on this motor by purchasing it under the Lamb Electric name. The motors are identical, and Lamb actually makes this motor for Electrolux, and sells the replacement parts for MUCH less money they Electrolux. We sell the motor under the Lamb name for $119. I went ahead and added this part to our site so you could place your order if you wanted to. I don't have it in stock today, but my parts distributor is showing 3 in stock, so we can easily have your order shipped out within 2-4 business days.

Here's the link to the Eureka CV1801 Central Vacuum Cleaner motor, Part number 54586;
http://www.govacuum.com/10661-Eureka-Central-Vacuum-Cleaner-Suction-Motor-Assembly-Part-54586-.aspx

Hopefully this was helpful to you. I've also left you a link below to the parts diagram of your vacuum cleaner, in case you need some visual help to see how it comes apart. If you found this repair to be helpful, please be so kind and rate the repair helpful, or leave feedback for me. I really do appreciate it, and this also helps people with the same question find the answers easier. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at chris (dot) jones (at) govacuum (dot) com.

My Model 2961 Eureka wont take power now?

Hi,

Anytime that you smell that electrical burning smell on a vacuum cleaner, this is the motor going bad. There are two distinctive burning smells in fixing vacuum cleaners, the electrical burning smell which is the motor, and a rubber burning smell which is the belt.

The bagless vacuums cleaners in general, their motors last usually no more then 3-5 years. The motor in bagless vacuums work much harder then the motors in their bagged counterparts.

The motors in Eureka vacuums can range in price from $70-$120. If you can provide me with the exact model number on your vacuum cleaner (can be found on the bottom or the back of the machine on the sticker that also contains the serial number) I will be able to get you the part number, and price of the motor that's used in your vacuum.

It may be worth considering to just get a new vacuum cleaner at this point. If you'd like me to give you a personalized recommendation specifically for your unique cleaning needs, I'd be honored to do so. Please just let me know what types of floors you have mostly in the home and I'll be happy to share my knowledge of vacuum cleaners.

I hope this was helpful to you. If you found this helpful, please be sure to rate the repair helpful so other Fixya users that have this same problem can easily find the answer.

Thanks so much,

Chris J.

I am looking for the filter for the Eureka bagless Altima vaccum cleaner

There should be an toll free # to call for eureka and they can direct you to the nearest authorized eureka service center in you area. If its a new model places like wallmart wont stock it. There are so many vacuum makes and models its impossible for any one business to stock every single bag, belt, filter etc. for them all. But a decent vacuum repair shop should be able to get it for you.

Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite) vacuum doesn't pick up dirt anymore

I no more use Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite). But the most common reason for not picking up dirt might be the vacuum bag might be full. Need to be Clean or replace as recommended by the manufacturer or The air filter traps particles as the air travels through the vacuum cleaner. If the filter is clogged, the vacuum cleaner will not have proper suction. If your vacuum filter is clogged, refer to your owner's manual for cleaning instructions. I recommend having Eureka Power Speed for yourself. 7_21_2021_9_09_38_am.jpg

Eureka High filtration Commercial vacuum fan

One of 2 ways, remove the plate on the bottom, the is a clear cover covering the fan. Just unbolt the belt pulley and remove the fan. If there is no cover covering the fan, then you will have to remove the top, take out the 4 screw holding the motor and turn motor over, then you can remove the fan.
