This is a component level repair and that unit is not made any longer. You have to find someone that works on electronics.

SOURCE: Can't get the surround sound to play the rear speakers and small front speaker

Sounds like it's just in 2 channel stereo mode, only 2 speakers working out of 5 and a sub, look for a selector switch for switching to 5.1 surround, as far as the no video problem try replacing the cable for the video connection.

SOURCE: Which external speakers work with an Emerson 19" LCD digital TV?

Coaxial digital output is not a speaker-level signal, and you don't connect speakers directly to it. It's an output signal meant to feed an amplifier which takes that kind of input. You then connect the speakers to the amp and select the digital input, the same as you connect a CD player and select that when you want play a disc.

I have tried everthing i can to get the dvd player to be heard over the car speakers but can only get the sound on the head phones. Are these Rosen A7 dvd players designed to play over the radio or not?...

Put a cd in the dvd player then tune to the channel and it should work, then try a dvd.
When dvd player does not boot up and display the Kia logo, try moving the door as the hinge turns on the screen and sometimes the connection in the hinge can play up a bit.

My Kenwood KRFv5300D is working throught the tuner / radio channel but wont play sound from the TV - I have a digitial cable running from the amp to the TV but nothing else - should i have more cords then...

The only way it cCOULD work would be from a Digital Audio Output to a Digital Audio Input.

What is the model of the TV? Does it REALLY output a digital multichannel audio program? TV's aren't generally known for their audio chops and some of us own monitors with NO speakers or sound capabilities. Hence we buy things like Kenwood receivers and better speakers.

I would recommend that you draw the TV-related audio from the same place the TV gets it - Cable / DVD / BD. The audio hookup is simpler and the fewer intervening connnections, the better.

The screen will not come out and the unit will not play. The blue light comes on to switch from radio/cd/tv, etc. and the red light comes on when you push cd eject, but otherwise it will not play any

MAKE SURE YOU PRESS THE SOURCE BUTTON AS THE SCREEN WOULD NOT COME OUT FOR THE RADIO BUT WHEN PRESSED AGAIN WILL PROBABLY COME OUT FOR THE TV

No 5.1 surround when adding a Philips upconvert player to the San

Sounds like you are getting analog signals from your componet cables and a true digital input from your HDMI into your tv.

However that unit is Analog audio input x 1 only.
So i dont think your going to get true digital surround sound.
The problem being

Sanyo =

Inputs: Analog Audio x 1 Outputs: Composite x 1 · S-Video x 1 · Component x 1 · Digital Audio Coaxial x

Phillips plasma tv - how to darken dislay while cable radio or music cd is playing?

The only thing you can do is unplug your video out lead from your dvd /cd player while playing it, also check your menu on your sony to see if it has a blank raster setting to activate. Second, why would you want to listen to a cd thru your tv, unless you don't have a stereo or surround sound system to play it on, of which I would definately have anyway. Hope this helps...
