Just bought house with LG Refrigerator using LT500P water filter. When I use the water dispenser, water drips *inside* the refrigerator behind the filter. It then drips down the walls. It's a new filter and has been reseated many times. Same when I use the filter plug. No visible cracks. Lrsc26922tt more pics available
Take the filter out and examine the seals that are on it. Make sure there are no burrs or gouges. Put some shortning on it for lubrication, reinsert.
Still leaking. I tried the plug and that leaks the same way when I use the dispenser. I wonder if the housing above it needs to be replaced.
Sounds like the receptacle for the filter is cracked or damaged. If you posted the make and model you can more assistance.
LG model LRSC21934TT. I'm ordering this part: ADQ72911008 Should this be sufficient or are there more parts to replace. I can't find any instructions on how to replace this so any tips would be welcome.

SOURCE: water is dripping inside refrigerator
This ia a common problem that indicates the drain from freezer is clogged or blocked. I will send you to another link to help explain how to resolve this, Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Refrigerator leaking water
This sounds like the water line from the icemaker and the cool water reservior inside the refridgerator side. The line is a rigid plastic hose and could be a leak at one point that is small enough to allow water to run along the line. Also sounds like you have a humidity problem. Check the door seals and wipe them off and apply a thin coat of die-electric grease to the seal. this will help keep it pliable and soft.
The water in the bottom leaks into a trough that is made into the fridge. This usaully evaporates, This is for the auto-defrost. It keeps the water from getting on the floor.
Check to see if the outer door gets hot at the edges. If not, It may not be auto-defrosting.
I would first check the water line first as this seems to be a more serious issue right now. The line is probably loose at one of the connections between the ice maker and water reservior.
SOURCE: LG refrigerator won't dispense water any more
The water line is freezing in the door due to deteriorated insulation. The only fix I have found to work on my fridge was to defrost the inside door with a blow dryer. Then place a weedeater replacement line (the orange 10" or so size you find at Lowes' or Home Depot) up through the dispenser nozzle, If the line only travels about 3-4 inches up the nozzle, then ice is still in the tube. Blow dry it until you are able to get water to dispense. After the tube is ice-free, place the weedeater line up throuth the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8" sticking out. The dispenser will still work with the line stuck in it. The dispenser will probably freeze again in about 8 hours, But all you need to do each time this happens is to pull the weedeater line out, dispense the water to unclog the ice, and place the weedeater line back in the nozzle. I have been using this method for about a week now and it works great. My GE Side-by-side is also 4 years old and this seems to be a problem with all of them. There is a part you can order to fix the problem, but I have heard it may not work.
SOURCE: Refrigerator has water dripping inside the unit down the back
The problem is the drain is clogged. Remove the back panel in your freezer and at the bottom of the evaporator coil you will see a hole about ½” in diameter this is the drain tube. You might need to use some warm water to melt the ice and then run a wire being very careful not to puncture the hose and run it down the tube to free up the drain. This tube travel down to the bottom of your refrigerator to a pan sometimes located on top of the compressor or somewhere else down there. It collects the water there to evaporate. You can enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com for a diagram or illustration of your refrigerator. Not all models are available.
