SOURCE: Cannot turn date stamp off and date keeps resetting
Try removing battery from camera then wait 10 seconds before installing. This action resets camera.
If no work, locate your camera software version. Procedure should be in manual, else could probably find it in a google search. Then locate latest version with a google search, or panasonic camera website, or call to customer service and ask.
It you do not have latest version, ask customer service how to download it.

To get the date/time to be on your photos while taking the picture so you don't have to use the software later do this:
When in the mode to take pictures, press the round "Function Set" button and change the recording pixels to "Postcard 1600 X 1200". "Postcard" is the only setting that will allow the time/date stamp to be recorded on the picture.
Then press the "Menu" button and scroll down to "Date Stamp". You can select "Date", "Date & Time" or "Off". You can only do this when your pictures are set to the "Postcard" mode.

The date is printed on the photos using the "pict bridge" software. The date printing option is set on the computer, not the camera. If the printer has it disabled or it is a printer that doesn't support it, you won't get the date.

The camera must be set in the Postcard mode under the resolution setting (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) on the function menu. Press Function, scroll down to bottom, then scroll to the Postcard mode and press the Set button.
