You DON'T want one. I had 2 and they both broke on the first use! Now I can't find the company to get my money back! Horrible product!!!!!!

I have been using mine for 22 years now! I love it and am actually looking for a replacement blade that I have somehow lost. Anyway, I think the end that looks like a half circle goes down into the base. The other end, starts out thin, then round, then square closest to the center of the 3" long "stick". This goes into the blade holder. Both of them have to be rotated to the correct position to fit right. Hope this helps! If you end up wanting to get rid of your blade, let me know!

I have an Oster Kitchen Center by sunbeam. It has the mixer, blender and food processor. When I attach the processor to try to use it the blades do not spin. If I push the siler know down with an objest it will turn. Am I missing some little piece to make it work.

That's alot of bad outlets.Are you sure there's nothing wrong withe the processor? Just kidding. How long have you had this processor? Any chance of taking it back?
If not, try this. With the unit unpluggedput an attachment on that you can hold onto and try to rotate the motor. Not all are tested and sometimes the motor brushes are not making good contact. If you turn it manually you may get lucky and set them to work. If you get it running, chk with power after several turns, run it constantly for abot 5 minutes to seat the the brushes. Remember to have it unplugged when you have your hand on the attach ment. Good luck. Ned

When you remove the regular chopper blade, it should fit on top of the stem. The chopper blade must be removed to use the slicer / shredder attachments.

The DLC-8 blades and the DLC-7 blades are not compatible. To attach the stem, first attach the stem to one of the compatible blades - the stem should day "DLC-7" for the DLC-7 blades - by inserting the first two tabs of the stem into the first two ridges of the blade connector - the left-most tab should be sticking out past the end of the blade connector - then slide the stem into place so that all tabs fit securely into the blade connector. Next, place the end with the blade up and insert the stem into the middle of the workbowl. There is a video for all Cuisinart food processors on the Cuisinart website.
