You can print out the network setting for the MP495, including the IP address, if the printer is not giving any errors. With the printer in standby, press the Maintenance button (with a stylized wrench and screwdriver, just above the Black button) repeatedly until an upside-down U appears. Then press the Black or Color button, as if printing a copy on the all-in-one. The IP address will be in the third column of the12th row below the heading. The first column in the row holds "IP Address". See https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART110996&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1568565298004&fac=CMS-CATEGORY-CANON-PRODUCTS.PRINTERS.INKJET_MULTIFUNCTION.MP_SERIES.4499B026 for images of the buttons.
I hope this helps. You may also be able to get the IP address from your router's list of devices (after logging in) or your OS's Printer information page. (In Windows, open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Printers and Devices > Right click on the MP495 icon and look at Properties and Printer Properties.

Changing Printer's IP Address isn't that complicated. There are two ways on how to change the printer's IP Address.
If you know the old printer's IP address, you can simply type that old IP address on the Address Bar of your Internet Explorer or any other browser (ex: http://192.168.1.101). It should redirect you to the printer's User Interface. From there you can go to Network then TCP/IP settings. You can change the IP address of the printer. Make sure to use an IP address within the same range of your network.
The other way to change the printer's IP address is by its own Menu/Settings on the printer's LCD panel.
On your printer, press Menu then got Settings. Look for Network or LAN settings and click on Advance. Select TCP/IP and click on Edit. You can now change the IP address of the printer from there. Click on Done or Save after that.
Note: Make sure the use the correct IP address within the network's range.

PIXMA Printers and All-In-Ones
The serial number is located inside your PIXMA printer. To find it, open the printer lid as if you were to access the cartridges tray: the serial number is printed on a white sticker. Be careful to not confuse this number with the power supply serial number that can be found on the bottom of your printer.
Hope it helps.
If you have a wireless router with a wireless network then -
Configure the IP address your wireless
printer, (this is done through the printer's menu settings) make sure it
matches the IP address range on your wireless network, it maybe 192.168.1.***
then configure the wireless printer with a fixed IP address with the same IP
address range but at a higher address eg. 192.168.1.10 so it does not clash
with any other IP addresses.
Next install the printer driver normally.
Then configure the printer Properties.
Click Start - Printers and faxes - right click on the your printer - click
Properties - Port tab - click Add Port - Standard TCP/IP port -
Port Name eg. 192.168.1.10
Printer name eg Network printer
Click OK
Then do a TEST print if it does not work then the IP address is probably
incorrect.
