Does your wiring look like what is shown in the instruction papers?
From your description, it does not sound like it. There is no white wire attached to the switch.
What type of bulbs are you connecting to? These require bulbs that can pass small amounts of current when off == incandescents and florescent. They may not work with LEDs.

SOURCE: wiring ceiling fans to wall switch

Hi Bigelow,

You need two switches.  It sounds like the Electrician set up the junction box for two circuits(Lights and Fans).  i say this because your supply has 4 wires, Red , Black, White and Bare. We may be able to oversome this with one Lutron Switch. Allow me to investigate, and I will be back.

SOURCE: Wiring for Bosch Hologen Fog Lights? Wiring

Look on the relay for the terminal numbers.
Terminal 30 goes to the battery positive.Red Wire
The two terminal 87 go to the fog lights.Black Wires
Match the color wire with what you have on the relay connection for the rest of the wires.
Terminal 86 should connect to your low beam headlight.
Terminal 85 should go to the fog light switch.
The fog light switch should connect to the terminal 85 and the other terminal on the switch will connect to ground.

SOURCE: Replacing a pull chain 3-way ceiling fan light switch

OK .. the thick black and white are the power for the fan , are there also white wires on the lamp sockets ..??
The thick black wire should connect to the black wire on the switch.
The small black wires connect to the red and blue wire on the switch .. two small black wires each .. that should give you a position for 2 lights , and 4 lights, on the step switch .. but there should be white wires from the lamp sockets connected to the thick white from the fan .

please respond .

SOURCE: Help with Woods 59018/59028 7 day digital timer

The usual connection for this type timer is the house black power to the timer black, the house white power to the timer white and the , the light black wire to the red timer wire.
If you only have two wires, one black and one white, at the switch location, then you cannot use this style timer , as it needs a neutral. You should return this timer and get one that does not require a neutral connection.

How do you fix error code U0151 in a 2014 Lancer?

i'd start by rechecking the "MDS on" install to make sure all connectors near where you were working are well seated. also recheck where the previous harness would contact. i find it really hard to beleive that the old harness was too short. improperly routed perhaps, but too short???

U0154 - LOST COMMUNICATION WITH OCM (occupant classification module)
  • When Monitored:
  • With the ignition on
  • IOD fuse installed
  • FCM is configured correctly
  • Set Condition: Bus messages not received from the Occupant Classification Module for approximately 2 to 5 seconds.
Possible Causes
CAN B BUS CIRCUITS OPEN OR SHORTED
DTCS RELATED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE, IGNITION, OR VIN MESSAGES
FCM NOT CONFIGURED CORRECTLY
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE POWER AND GROUND
MODULE THAT SET THIS DTC

OCM is located under passenger seat. make sure it's connector isn't loose.

I can't play videos without internet

My best guess is that if it is a YouTube program, you are using the program to stream videos over internet and so without the internet the video can't stream. I hope this is the answer you were looking for;)

Light turns on by itself

Sometimes they just need to be reset
1 turn off power to switch (Circuit Breaker off)
2 wait 30 seconds
3 re - turn on power to switch again (Circuit Breaker on)
4 wait for lights to turn on by themselves ( about 15 seconds after power is turned back on)
should be OK after this remember to not enter the beam after power is turned on ...... (see #4 above) as this would make switch beam super sensitive. Hope this helps

I purchased the pr 180 photo electric switch from home depot.there are not any wiring instructions enclosed.I have two black wires and a ground in the wall. there is a green ( ground ) black, red, & a...

Leviton PR180 is a single-pole or 3-way motion activated light switch.
Resources:
http://www.leviton.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpItmDspRte.jsp?item=452283§ion=10892&minisite=10026

The green connects to bare ground wire.
The yellow-red is not used EXCEPT to replace 3-way switch. Cap off yellow-red wire when wiring single-pole.

Your single pole switch has two black wires.
One black wire is Hot from breaker, and the other black wire goes to Load.
Turn power on, and test each black wire to bare copper wire. Tester lights up on Hot wire.

Hot wire connects to PR180 black wire.
Load wire connects to RR180 red wire

Have pair of FRS14ND radios, with charger. One battery pack has quit, so other must be about to. Tried switching remaining pack between radios & both work, so it's not radio. Can't get AAA alkaline...

Similar problem, solved when dirty contacts were cleaned, look for some corrosion on either the battery pack or in the radio battery holder. Use very fine grit sand paper.

also check to see if a tab on the battery holder contact is bent inward (radio dropped perhaps)

I installed the PR180 switch in my garage with a 4ft dual t-8 flourescents bulbs. When the motion sensor timer turns the light off the flourescent bulbs stay slightly lit, as if it were on a dimmer...

There is nothing wrong with the switch or your wiring. The Leviton R01-PR180-1LI is not designed to work with flourescent lights. A lot of electronic controls will bleed through a small voltage when in the "OFF" state. It's just enough voltage to make the ballast in the flourescent light try to fire but not enough to let it fire the way it is supposed too.

What you need is a motion switch that is rated for flourescent lights, such as this :-( :

Intel webcam cs430 EXTERNAL VIDEO INPUT SHOWS BLUE SCREEN-NO VID

I had the same problem (blue screen from external cam). I read a few unrelated posts that talked about USB2 vs USB 1 and internal PCI vs external USB hub so thought I'd try a few things. I unplugged my CS430 from an external USB1 (I think - it's a Belkin iPOD synch base with 5 USB ports) hub and plugged it into the front chasis mounted USB 2.0 ports on my Dell Dimension E310 and voila!!! the external cam works and no need to mess around with SP3 etc. Hope this helps.
