Might be a lever, might be a screw which would be visible on the shaft (screw being standard, phillips or allen.) If running into 'it will not fit', please see my other answer

SOURCE: How to change blade on 10" Craftsman table saw?

you need to grab the blade with something.maybe some pliers(if you are not going to refurbish blade) and loosen the nut in the center of the blade. i think it is a left hand thread(cw to loosen) because of the rotation of the blade. if the nut is on the left when looking from the front it is probably left handed. make sure it's unplugged and wear leather gloves so you don't get cut. install in reverse...

SOURCE: Reciprocating saw-snapped blade-cannot be removed

What I would try is to spray some WD40 on the pin first and then see if you can find a small screwdriver or punch and try pushing the pin in further to release the broken blade. It doesn't sound as though it is anything major, maybe a burr on the side of the pin or possibly rust or debris. DON"T hit the pin because you might damage it or push it in and never get it back out. Looked at a diagram and it appears that they used roll pins to hold the clamp in place so it might be that one is cracked or mushroomed and you might have to drive them out. I suggest that you go to Searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number to look at the same diagram.

SOURCE: blade stuck in reciprocating saw

The pin is probably stuck in the blade. This happens from time to time after they get dirty. Take some WD-40 or some other type of penetrating oil and spray a little in the blade holder while working the release lever. It will probably free right up.

I was given a craftsman saws all. It seems to have a broken blade in place. Is there a site where i can view a manual? I'm not sure how to change blades with this tool

you might want to start with Searspartsdirect.com and with the model number you can view a parts explosion and then if there is a manual online you can click on it and it will take you to another site called managemyhome.com for a manual. Let me know if still having trouble

How do you install the blade in the craftsman recipricating saw model 320

You need a allen wrench to remove the blade and to reinsall it look at the base of the blade and you will see an allen wrench. If there is no allen wrench then you must pull down on the clap assembly to release the blade. If you still can't figure it out here is sears web site where you can get help for it if you need a picuter.

Reciprocating Saw / Stopped Working (No Response)

Many of my power tools that have stopped working, it has always been the "ON-OFF" switch that has been the proplem. Try blowing out the bugger, but watch that you don't loose some of the contacts. Never had brushes actually wear out, but did have one wire break off the brush.

REPLACE BLADE IN MOD #172.171800 8.0 A, CRAFTSMAN, RECIIP SAW

If you see a set screw where the blade goes, loosen it a few turns. Then run the saw, it should spit out the broken blade. If it has a manual release for the blade, press the release while tapping the blade holder.
