SOURCE: Spots on tomatoes

There are also other things which can cause issue's like / Blossom end rot> caused by poor calciumuptake due to inconsistent moisture/ can use a soaker hose to keep constant moisture with mulch .

another could be two forms of "blight" "Late Blight" will affect fruits on vine > caused by fungus which is favored by wet weather. Will cause plant and fruit to suddenly rot if gets worst get rid of all affected plants .
avoid over crowding of plants allow good air flow between plants

While 'Early blight'/ is cause by fungus which survived the winteron old vines left in garden/ rotate crops to break cycle allow good air circulation get rid of any and all affected plants remove any foliage and disgard away from any material being used in garden

SOURCE: brown bugs on tomatoe plant--what can i do?

IF you don't want to use a commercial insecticide, you can drown them with mildly soapy water that you can spray on the plants. You can also use a cedar based oil spray like they offer on cedarcide dot com.

I just noticed a (I think) Tomato worm on my plants but dont know what they look like so its a guess. How do I get rid of them?

I use seven dust on my Tomato vines when I see worms, cut worms or horn worms. Seven dust will take care of them. Wash Tomato's well before eating.

I have 4 tomato plants that are full of large green tomatoes but they will not turn red. What can I do to get them to ripen?

Grant, an interesting problem. Not knowing the environment, I searched for methods to force-ripen tomatoes; this site looks promising:

http://homeguides.sfgate.com/force-tomatoes-ripen-64525.html

If it's just too cold, the tomatoes won't ripen on their own. The above site advocates picking the tomatoes and bringing them inside to ripen, among several other potential solutions.

There are also recipies you can try with green tomatoes (other than frying). After the first frost of the season, I made a tomato chutney that was excellent following this instructable:

Spots on tomatoes

If the spots are mostly at the bottom of the tomato, more like one blotch, it is from not having enough lime in your soil. It is called bottom rot.Putting lime in the soil is called sweetening the soil with lime. This is what you need to do for bottom rot. If it is in other places and more than one spot, it could be from insects crawling on and defecating on the tomatoes or maybe a type of fungus or mold. Hope you only need garden lime. It will save your tomatoes from bottom rot since it is early in the year.
