SOURCE: Backlight inverter
A backlight inverter is the power supply to power the lamp or lamps in an LCD display, so when you look through the LCD there is a souce of light behind it. Kind of like holding a peice of paper up to a light and looking through it, The light from behind shines through the paper or in your case the LCD display. You would have to open up the LCD case in order to find what is usually a long thin board, similar to the one below. This may need to be replaced or you may get lucking and just be able to replace the F1 (fuse) component and fix it. (or have a techical friend do it for you)

You may be able to get an inverter board from this WEB site.
LCD screens and Inverterswww.lcdparts.net
SOURCE: have 12 and 24 volts going to the inverter, however, there is not any voltage at the backlight area.
hi the inverter will have some kind of step-up transformer for the backlight driver, now you need to be really careful because high voltages are involved... so beware.. capacitors holding a charge can kill.
Look for a invertor replacement board for the LED ?? or what ever it is however make sure the screen is not damaged in any way otherwise you be wasting your money..
