Remove the food and ice maker ( if equiped ) from freezer . Remove the screws holding the rear panel , and remove the panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , and defrost until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help clear the hole . When water starts to flow down , use a piece of hose , inserted into the drain , and blow thru it , to remove any debris built up inside the drain line . I would also get a piece of solid ALUMINUM wire , about 9" long , completly stripped of insulation and insert it into the drain hole as far as possible , without any force . Wrap the other end about 1-2 turns , around the black rod ( defrost heater ) , just above the drain hole . When the refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer to the aluminum wire , keeping the drain from freezing up again due to ice .
