It can be either of these 3 problems. The easiest one to check is the door lock, open and close the door. You might even have to do this a couple of times before the cycle starts up again. The second one is the water inlet valve, and the 3rd is a drain pump failure... you could have a sock stuck in it. Both the 2nd and 3rd problems, you need to pull the washer apart to fix. These two vids might not be your exact model but it will be a good guide to use. https://youtu.be/pxwD5SieFP0

Try going to another setting on the dial like heavy or delicate and spin the dial from start and click to almost the end of wash cycle and start. the pump should start draining. If not your may have to go a few clicks less or more just spin around again. If it does not pump out then it could be a clogged drain line or bad pump

SOURCE: washing machine stops mid-cycle and full of water

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

SOURCE: stops in the middle of wash cycle

Hi!

If the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

SOURCE: mle2000ayw Stackable washer/dryer not washing, spinning

If the door lock light is on then is might be the "door lock enable spin switch" the plunger at the opposite end from the wax motor is not fully depressing the switch. In the stackable it is just behing the door lock. Remove the two middle covers (2 white phillips screws and one hex head screw on the middle of lower cover by the wires)to test place a few layers of masking tape on the end of the plunger and cycle the machine. Might also be a weak Wax motor (dark brown in color) to be safe replace both for about $12 each. Fix in 10 - 15 min.

SOURCE: Kenmore Stackable washer/dryer Model #11088752793, won't heat

Hi,
Either the elements have blown, or it could be a device called a thermal overload which has popped. (There may also be a loose wire which connects to the heating elements). Have your drier checked out by a good handyman or technician.
Best wishes,

Hello uucyc1 - From what you have described it sounds like you either have a problem with the washer tub bearing, belt, motor or trunnion (steel bar that secures the inner basket to the transmission shaft). As far as the dryer, long dry times typically are a result of poor air flow. Make sure that the dryer exhaust vent is completely clear and that the unit is not overloaded. I would suggest contacting an experiencing service technician to determine the precise cause to both units.

Need belt for stackable frigidaire washer and dryer. Model is FEX831CS The washer jerked and threw a breaker. Now the dryer won't work and the washer lets water run in and the inside starts jerking hard

If you think that the washing machine belt is the cause of your troubles you can find it in the very bottom of the machine (behind the front panel)
Would need more info on the dryer problem, (Is it running with no heat or not running at all)
the washer drive belt is the only easy fix on this model.
Good Luck
