I think you have dry solder joints on the tv. Either on the chroma board, the vertical scan board, the line output board, or on the focus board. If you are going to do this yourself please take all necessary precautions against electric shock and discharge all capacitors that you can as a stray spark from one can cause damage to your tv and yourself. If you are not able to do this find a competant technician. Good luck.

if you go and download the new firmware it will take care of the red light problem. firm ware upgrade version 1.5.0.0

Your set may have a main fuse located inside the back panel.
If it doesn't, you have joined the ranks of those whose power supplies have failed way too early.
It may also have shut down to protect itself from a line surge so try pulling the AC plug out and ignoring the set for a few hours before plugging it back in.
I suspect your warranty expired already - this is a consequence of importing all of our electronics; when it breaks, we have no US manufacturer to turn to.
