My wife and I purchased several years ago 2 Ventas, an LW24 & LW44. We replaced the plastic twirling mechanism that fits into the gear mechanism and rotates by the motor but the LW44 has always been a problem and now only one wheel of the 2 wheels turns, always the same wheel, and it makes a terrible clicking noise. The little gears on one side of the plastic dual gear assembly do not move at all. On the other side, a larger spike and smaller spike of plastic that turns one of the water wheels turns comes uo periodically while the other side and always that side, moves only for a short while and then stops and the clicking noise begins and one of the 2 water wheels stops turning. My email is [email protected]
This sound is could mean that the life of the gear has been used up.
This is a common problem. It is easily fixed for $10 + Shipping. The gear needs to be replaced. Try this link to have someone call you. [email protected]
Remove the gear and turn on the unit to see if the noise still exists.
Clean the teeth of the gear box with white vinegar. If that fails buy a gear on eBay
Call Venta customer service at 888-333-8218 and ask for a new gear for your airwashers. They are covered under warranty.

Fill Water Tank.
Turn off humidifier and unplug the power cord from A/C outlet. Remove tank from
base. Turn upside down and unscrew filling cap. Fill tank with clean, cool, distilled,
filtered, or tap water. Do not attempt to fill unit through Vapor Nozzle. Water temperature
should NEVER be too hot or too cold. Extreme temperatures can damage the
unit. Tighten filling cap firmly. Return tank to base and let it sit for a few minutes. For
first time use or when replacing the demineralization cartridge filter, please soak the
filter in warm water for several minutes.

I have the LW 24 Model and the water wheel doesn't turn. The motor still running and the little arms inside the fan housing work when fan is manually turned with motor off. Please send updated problem solving solutions to my email address. [email protected]
My blower makes a humming sound but will not start spinning unless I make it start. Please advise.
