Remove the food from the freezer and icemaker (3 screws and a plug hold it in place ) . Remove the screws holding the back panel of the freezer in place , and remove the panel . Using a hair dryer , below the coils , start in the middle , and defrost until you see the drain hole . Keep defrosting the hole , until water starts to drain thru . Use a small piece of hose inserted into the drain , and blow thru it , to clear out any debris accumulated in the drain line . Hot water helps to clear the ice from inside the hole also . To make this a permanent " fix " , get a piece of aluminum solid wire ( 14-16 guage , like an appliance ground wire ) about 8 " long . After the drain is clear , where water runs thru , insert 1 end into the hole as far as it will go without any force , bending slightly if necessary . Wrap the other end around the black tube ( defrost heater )above the hole about 1 - 1 1/2 turns . Whenever the fridge goes into defrost , the heat will transfer to the wire , therfore , keeping ice from blocking the drain again .

I have water on floor under refrigerator. There is no water supply line to this frig.

If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.17 May 2013

Kenmore refrigerator 106.72206201 - accumulating ice and water

Probably a clogged drain line in the freezer. Unplug it for 2 days and leave it open. Reset controls to 3 and C or factory settings clean the coils on the bottom outside with a vacuum and a brush and restart the fridge.

Water accumulates at the bottom of the freezer unit and leaks

You must clear the drain of anything that would cause water to pool up after each defrost cycle. Check your door gaskets for wear. Air entering the ice box can cause excessive frost.

Water accumulates and freezes in bottom shel

The drain for the defrost is blocked, probably with ice. If drain is frozen it will need to be defrosted, and a heat probe attached to the heat element and down through the drain hole. If not frozen there could be blockage in the drain cup depending on the model.
