When you find an Erl error message on your Pit Boss control board display, it usually implies that there's a problem with the inbuilt Temperature Sensor in the smoker. When the temperature probe is unable to make a connection and the controller determines that it can't read the probe, the Erl error code is displayed.
You may have to dismantle the smoker to get to the control board. Check to see if the probe wire is properly connected to the control board and also check for any other damage to the control board.
If you have a damaged Control Board, If your device isn't covered by a warranty, you can always get replacement parts from a suitable online store.

The code is related to the auger jamming up or sticking. Thus not allow the pellets to flow freely. It could be pellet related or pellet dust related.

New to Pit Boss. Do you cook on smoke or set the temp? We set the temp and there is no smoke.

I have a Traeger, not a Pit Boss, but assuming they work on the same theory, you generally want to smoke at 225-250. The "smoke" setting is usually much lower than that (for smoking cheeses and such). Once you set your temp, your auger will feed pellets into your fire box on a timed cycle determined by your heat setting or thermostat. So you'll actually only see smoke every once in awhile.

How do you change the fuse on a pit boss smoker

Google for your owner's manual by model number. But I don't think the Pit Boss has a fuse. Are you plugging it into a circuit with a Ground Fault Interrupter? Maybe you just need to reset the GFI by pushing the little button on the outlet.

I got a used smoker tonight - a smoke n pit smoke king 805-2200-0 - are the small holes in the top and bottom all the ventilation needed for the smoker or am I missing parts? Also, is there a place for a...

No, you're not missing any parts. What you see is what you get. There is a hole for a thermometer in the door, but for whatever reason, Brinkmann didn't include that with the smoker. To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your "discontinued" model smoker.

You can download and print the manual for future reference.

Hope this helped you.

We have a brinkmann smoke 'n pit charcoal grill $ smoker- the manual says to cure it- how do we do this and for how long? :-)

By cuing, they mean burning it for an hour or 2, before using it to grill or smoke food. Coat the grill grates with a light coating of vegetable oil, before firing up the charcoal. Maintain a temperature of 325 - 350 degrees F for half an hour with the hood closed and a half hour with the hood raised.. After that, the grilling part of the grill - smoker should be cured. The smoker part, other than cleaning, doesn't need much curing. As the temps for smoking don't exceed 225 degrees F.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

Need owners manual

As you are probably already aware, your model all-in-one grill/smoker has been discontinued by Brinman. However, that doesn't mean they don't still support it. To get a copy of your Owner's Manual, you'll need to call Brinkman's Customer Support Dept (800) 468-5252. They can either mail you one or email it to you as an attachment in pdf format, that you can download and print for future reference.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

I have a Lincoln Pro Core 100 wire feed welding machine; it is (5) years old. I use the machine often. A year ago I built a 5' X 20" barbeque pit out of pipe and attached a 2' X 2' X 4' smoker to it...

Hi:

There is nothing wrong with your machine. The Pro-core100 is a 20% duty cycle machine; meaning: that will work for 2 straight minutes of welding and then needs 8 minutes to cool down.

Just allow the machine to cool down, turn it off and start again after the 8 minute cooling process.

If this was useful to you please vote. Thanks.

I AM TRING TO FIND OUT HOW I CAN BUILD A BRICK BBQ PITT SMOKER SO I CAN SELL FOOD OUT OF SMAALL RESTURUANT

Here's a link that will provide over 200,000 sites for building a brick BBQ pit/smoker. Will all work for what you want to do? Probably not, but it's a good place to start. Also, you will want to consult with your local building inspection office, to be sure that whatever you build will meet the local building codes in your area.
