OK. This should be simple. If you are using a TV with a built in digital tuner like all the HDMI ( High Defintition Media Interface) flatscreens then you probably need to go through your set up menu on your Digital TV and select Initial Setup / Channel Input / Cable / Satellite if coming directly from a dish on 75 Ohm Coax / or Cable if coming directly from the outside 75 Ohm coax with analog signal. ( When I say DIRECTLY, I mean you are not going through any boxes and changing or passing the signal). All satellite direct connects are digital and all satellite converter boxes have multiple out puts these days. There is an HDMI output for high def and low def analogl to digital (A/D) signals coverted within the TV, sometimes there is a DVI or even a USB out put connector...and there is a 75 Ohm coaxial RF cable connection for all the old schoolers who do not have a widescreen digital TV. RF means Radio Frequency and uses Radio Frequency Channels 3 and 4 at the bottom of the RF band around 56 MHz to which any TV with an Analog Tuner can use. In the old days this is what was used for the connection to the TV from the cable boxes because our TVs did not have the capability of decoding analog pay channel signals, hence the little black boxes sold and used ONLY by cable thieves and not any of us here on fixya. For starters, let's make sure you are using your high def, dvi. or some format of digital It sounds like your TV is set up to search and code digital signals but is looking for the wrong carrier frequencies, meaning it is either looking for decoded digital satellite box signals, digital broadcast ( New Digital TV received via an Antenna). Once your TV scans for channels in the cable mode they will be memorized and available on your channel up / down keys and Favorites. (FYI t will scan for both digital and analog channels on antenna mode). Repost if you have troubles or refer to your users manual.

Sound ok both dvd and sky input picture grey pixilated

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Screen is Black

LCD displays use a backlight, normally a florencence lamp to illuminate the pixils, yours will be blown, although I dont think you can get replacements for such as they are built into the display, but that sounds like your issue, normally in the workshop I'd replace entire screen or deem the unit too costly to fix, an easy work around is to use a external monitor, I think you will find part unavailavble or too costly.

When I play a new DVD on my PlayStation 2, it pixilates and skips in spots (if I rewind a bit, the skipping doesn't necessarily occur again in the same spot). But when I play that same DVD in another...

this is usually caused by minor scratches on the disk, the playstations dvd reader is not as sofisticated as a normal DVD player, so those minor scratches may causes skipping.

Mid game the screen gets pixilated and rainbow colored

from your description although could be the onset of RROD your DVD drive seems to be the main culprit as its damaged a game disk, if under warranty then return it id you best action.

if not, you can't simply buy a new drive and change the drive out as it needs to be 'blown' with the 'drive key' or it won't work.

you can have this done for you at a price, you can also buy the bits and do it yourself but the cost is also high for a 'one off'. sowhat i did was buy a brand new drive of the same type and swapped over the pcb's, so original number pcb was now attached to the mechanics of the new drive which cost me £24 from Ebay all legit.

so it will depend how good you are with hand tools but its not that hard to do with some care and patience :)

hope it helps

LG*X portable external multi DVD rewriter

This device will work with your machine. It sounds to me that you have either a driver issue, or a software conflict. For the driver, you need to uninstall it and reinstall it. If it's a software conlict, unistall any CD/DVD related software and install only the software that came with the drive.

Dell 32 LCD Flat Screen multiple problems

I have checked all the connections and replaced all the cables with the highest quality I could buy.  I think the problem is in the TV tuner itself.  I live in a MDU so I am stuck with a rooftop satellite/master antenna.
