Not enough information in the question, but captioning comes from the cable or satellite box and it turned of via its remote. No idea what RTi is, but it seems to be some type of fancy universal remote, but we don't know what it is connected to?
Try uninstalling flash, then reinstalling.
You can uninstall flash in the Windows Control Panel.
You can redownload flash player here:

Hello
If your TV displays a black box type shade on the screen means that your TV may be set to "Text" mode. To clear the screen, select "Caption Off mode".
To do this, press "MENU" button to display menu functions on the screen. Press "channel up or channel down" button to select the function "CAPTION". Press "Volume Up or Volume Down " button to select the mode you wish. There are five modes that you can select; Caption-Off; Caption-C1; Caption-C2; Caption-T1 and Caption-T2. As no other matereial is connected to your TV, you just select "CAPTION-OFF". When done press the Menu button again to exit menu display. Ok.
Go into the menu under setup in captioning selection and turn Captions feature to off. Also look on the remote for a captions button and push until it disappears indicating the feature is off.
Also the model you gave is for the toshiba remote control. The unit model should or might start with AVR """""""
It sounds like you have the closed captioning turned on. Your remote control may have a button marked 'CC'. If so, press the button repeatedly until the words disappear. If you do not have a CC button then you will have to go into the TV's menu, also called setup on some sets, and turn the closed captioning off.
hi i had the same problem with my sony kdl-40v2500 with the comcast cable box.The fixing is you have to do it through cable box.Leave your tv on and turn your cable box off and hit the menu button twice on the remote repeat in till you see cable menu on the screen and you can eneble-desable the caption through there
