Picture horizontal lines!!

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000 52" about 1 year old. Has been a great tv till now. Now when I turn the tv on in the morning There is ghosting on the left side of the screen and 2 horizontal white lines across the middle. Then after about 5 minutes of warm up they go away and all is fine. Any clues as why this might happen???

I have a Bravia KDL-52w4500. Over the last month I have started to get more and more horizontal line across the screen. These do not go away. What can I do to fix this

unfortunatly, horizontal lines on an lcd tv, almost always mean a bad lcd panel. if it is out of warranty, it will be really cost prohibitive to replace the panel. if the set is only a year old or so call sony customer support and ask for a concession for the part.

That sounds correct, I just have to work on SONY BRAVIA KDL-40BR4 with Horizontal lines problem on ther right side, you you tap around the frame, the lines will come and go, this is only 2 years old TV! Poor quality panel made by SONY/SAMSUNG company jointed venture.
Very sad indeed when you paid for BRAVIA series which are not cheap.
New screen will cost more than new TV.

Model# kdl-40w4100 Serial # 8051767 2 years old Horizontal lines in 4.5 inch blocks at the top of the screen

I have the same tv model KDL-40W4100 and around the same age. At the moment I have 16 of
these horizontal lines over the entire screen and they seem to be grouped into 2 lines per row. They are also around 4 inches and two pixel rows high. I have been looking over the Internet for months and found nothing to troubleshooting this issues. In the last few weeks more and more of these groups of lines have been showing up and now i am up to 16 of them and it is becoming unwatchable. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I also attached a picture to describe it better. Thanks!

Picture problem

This is not a solution but a correction . I stated that there was vertical lines but that should be horizontal Lines. I am having a tech come tomorrow to look at it as it is still under waranty.

Sony Bravia XBR 40" LCD

First, HORIZONTAL CENTER.
1) Press MENU.
2) Scroll to SETTINGS.
3) Scroll to SCREEN.
4) Go to HORIZONTAL CENTER. Move the picture to the right. Hopefully, the line will go away. Otherwise, there is a problem with the pixels or the signal processor. Call 1-800-222-SONY. Or, http://eservice.sony.com. Have a high-limit credit card handy for out of warranty repairs. Sorry about that.
