I have an Oster 12-bottle wine celler model OWO912H6H that was a Christmas gift in 2007. I just noticed the temperature is 98 degrees and I cannot get it to come down with the down button. I am very concerned as the reason for the gift was the purchase of expensive wine ? Thank you.

Hi, could be faulty thermostat, can you check compressor, is compressor running (working), listen to compressor for clicking sound, unplug it(switched off) for about 20 minutes, replug and let it run (work) for another 20 mins. see if temp. drops, what about temp. inside bottle (wine) cooler, is it 98 or colder, more info. could be valuable. check thermostat, check to see if compressor operates, if cooler temp. 98. remove you products, to another cooler, call mechanic.
