IView 6000kr DVD Player can't play RMVB file from DVD disc

Dear Sir/Madam,

But I have a technical question. I bought this player mainly for playing RMVB files. It works perfect when I use the USB or SD Card ports. But it didn't work when I burned file to DVD disc(I used copy and paste and treat it as data files). I can see the list of all RMVB files on the screen. It didn't respond when I highlight the file and press "play or enter". I wonder if that's a design flaw, or I need more instruction for using the disc. Thank you in adance for your response!

Sincerely,
Guang Luo

If you have laptops or computers, you can play the RMVB files on Windows Media Player or third-party software such as Leawo Blu-ray Player which is also free.
You can check on this article to see how to play RMVB files:

The problem may be that you used a data disc mode. That leads to discs that can be read by other computers not by most DVD players. Did you finalize the disc before removing it from the computer? Try finalizing the disc. From Windows File Explorer, select the DVD drive and choose the Manage tab. Then see if Finish Burning is available.

In the future, make sure that you choose the With a CD/DVD Player option instead of the Like a USB drive. Then finalize the disc before ejecting it. See http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-burn-cds-dvds-blu-ray-discs-windows/ for some tips.

I hope this helps.

Rmvb codec

You can install the latest KLite codec pack which would allow you to play back all most all video files and also just install the latest flash player on the computer. Also you can simply install the free players like The KM player and The BS Player which will play all files.

Dvd player

You might be able to convert them to DVD-Video format if you've got a DVD burner and the right software.

Another possible option would be converting them to a Video CD/Super Video CD if the DVD player can play Video CDs or Super Video CDs and you have a CD burner and software that can burn VCDs/SVCDs

Dvd player, hd dvd movies

If this is just a regular DVD player, then no. You need an HD DVD player to play HD DVD discs. Now the HD DVD players should play regular DVD discs.
